According to DMRC, this decision was made with the safety of the public in mind. Passengers will be permitted to go into the station.
According to DMRC, travellers will not be allowed to depart Rajiv Chowk Metro Station after 9:00 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, December 31, based on police recommendation. Passengers will be allowed to enter until the last train departs from Rajiv Chowk Metro Station on December 31.

Obviously, in order to attend the events scheduled at Connaught Place, visitors must arrive before the designated hour. Furthermore, QR tickets for Rajiv Chowk Metro Station will not be issued via DMRC’s mobile app after 8:00 p.m. Metro services on the rest of the network will continue to run on schedule. Passengers are asked to plan their journeys with this advise in mind.

It is important to note that Delhi Metro operates from approximately 5:00 a.m. to 23:30 p.m. They varies slightly depending on line and station. The Airport Express Line operates from 4:45 a.m. to 23:30 p.m. DMRC issued an alert for citizens to cooperate with deployed law enforcement and metro officials.
