Reliance Jio started the VoNR network, and SIM holders welcomed it

Reliance Jio has announced the rollout of VoNR (Voice over New Radio) technology for its 5G users. VoNR is a call-making technology. Currently, Reliance Jio is the sole telecom operator offering 5G VoNR service. Airtel has yet to implement 5G SA (Standalone) and is unlikely to offer it to its mobile users before 2025. So, if you’re looking for VoNR calling service, Jio is currently the only provider.

VoLTE (Voice over LTE) is the calling technology used in 4G networks, whereas VoNR is used in 5G networks. VoNR provides a better call experience, higher quality, and clarity because it is based on 5G’s enhanced data capacity. VoLTE, on the other hand, utilises 4G technology.

Work on VoNR is ongoing

Vodafone Idea would be unable to deliver VoNR service to its consumers because it, like Airtel, plans to implement 5G NSA (Non-Standalone) technology. VoNR is already operational for consumers in Delhi and Mumbai, and it may become available in other regions of the country as well. Jio’s 5G SA services are now available for free to subscribers who recharge with a 2GB per day data plan or more.

Reliance Jio is preparing

Jio and Airtel are also working on satellite networks. Jio is also strengthening its underwater network. In such cases, judgements are made to provide users with a better calling and data experience. This proved to be really useful for many users. This is why the organisation is constantly working on the network.
