Mukesh Ambani : Reliance Jio has changed the validity of two of its famous data add-on plans: Rs 69 and Rs 139. The telecom operator has also introduced standalone validity for these plans, which differs from their previous structure in which they shared the same validity as the user’s basic plan. Jio recently modified its Rs 448 plan and reintroduced the Rs 189 package. Here are the specifics.
Previously, the Rs 69 and Rs 139 data add-on packs were only valid for as long as the user’s account had a current base recharge. For example, if a basic pack has 30 days remaining, the add-on would be active for the same time.
However, with the recent adjustment, both Jio prepaid plans now have a solo validity of just 7 days. This means that users will only have one week to consume the data offered by these plans, as opposed to the prior extended term linked to the base pack.

In terms of bandwidth, the Rs 69 plan delivers 6GB of high-speed data, while the Rs 139 plan includes 12GB. Once the permitted data is gone, the internet speed will be reduced to 64Kbps. It is crucial to note that these are data-only plans, which do not include features such as voice calls or SMS. Furthermore, the add-ons will only work if the user’s number is associated with an active base plan.

Aside from these changes, Reliance Jio recently relaunched its Rs 189 prepaid package, which had been temporarily withdrawn from its options. This plan is mentioned in the ‘cheap packs’ section and is intended for those seeking basic connectivity.
It has a validity period of 28 days and includes 2GB of total data (speed reduced to 64Kbps once the data cap is reached), unlimited voice calls, and 300 SMS. Jio users on this prepaid recharge plan will also have access to Jio’s services, including JioTV, JioCinema (excluding premium content) and JioCloud storage.
Reliance Jio lowers price of Rs 448 prepaid package
Jio has also lowered the pricing of its Rs 448 prepaid recharge package to Rs 445. This plan has 28 days of validity, 2GB of data per day, unlimited phone calls, and 100 SMS per day. Subscribers can also access OTT services such as Zee5, JioCinema Premium, SonyLIV, and Lionsgate Play.
