Reliance Jio, India’s largest telecom company, has made significant adjustments to the validity of its most affordable data vouchers, the Rs. 19 and Rs. 29. Most Reliance Jio subscribers rely on these data vouchers to meet their short-term data requirements. Until a few months ago, the Rs 19 coupon cost Rs 15, while the Rs 29 voucher cost Rs 25. The tariff rise announced earlier this year raised the cost of these coupons.

Changes to Jio Data Plan Validity
Let’s take a look at the recent changes Jio has made to these vouchers. Reliance Jio has modified the validity period for Rs 19 and Rs 29 data vouchers. The Rs. 19 voucher is good for the duration of the user’s basic plan. For example, if the user’s basic plan is valid for 70 days, this Rs 19 data coupon will likewise be good for 70 days, or until the data is completely consumed. It has now been modified to one day. The new validity of the Rs 19 data coupon has been lowered to one day.

The comparable update has been implemented in the Rs 29 data voucher. This has the same validity as the user’s basic active plan. Reliance Jio’s Rs 29 data coupon now has two days of service validity.

Jio’s latest adjustments to the validity of these deals reflect the telco’s efforts to increase income from its users. While users technically pay the same price and receive the same amount of data, the reduced validity means they must recharge everytime they require more data, even if they have not fully utilised the data in the vouchers.
