Dhami : On Saturday, Pushkar Singh Dhami, the chief minister of Uttarakhand, paid a visit to the disaster-affected areas of Champawat.
CM Dhami undertook an airborne reconnaissance of numerous disaster-affected areas in the district, including Saryu Valley, Kali Valley, Pancheshwar Valley, Rausal, and Tamli. After meeting with district officials at the NHPC Guest House in Banbasa, the Chief Minister inspected relief, rescue, and restoration efforts in the districts hit by heavy rains.
The Chief Minister also engaged with the people. During this time, members of the public presented the Chief Minister with memoranda regarding a variety of topics. CM Dhami assured them that he would assist them in every way feasible.
Dhami reviewed the repairs to the district’s roads
Around this time, the Chief Minister examined the repairs to the district’s bridges and roads that had been affected by the tragedy. He urged officials to take the appropriate actions to restore order in the affected areas.
He commanded that the drinking water and power lines be restored as soon as feasible. Alternatively, UREDA should arrange for electricity to be generated using solar energy.

The Chief Minister urged officials to guarantee that every disaster-affected citizen in the district receives the necessary assistance. He also directed that the relief funds be distributed immediately to those affected.
He stated that the repairs should be finished quickly and that all closed routes be made operational as soon as possible.
Aside from that, the Chief Minister asked authorities to personally visit disaster-hit areas and conduct on-site inspections to ensure that the affected people had adequate facilities. He stated that it is critical to guarantee that the public is not inconvenienced, and he directed the authorities to perform the relief work as soon as possible.

The Chief Minister directed the District Magistrate to analyse damage in each district and make a proposal to the government. The District Magistrate and irrigation department were also tasked with developing a proposal for a lasting remedy to the damage caused by the Sharda River, Haddi River, and Kirora Nala.
He stated that there was a lot of damage caused by disasters in some form or another throughout the year, therefore a request was made to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and he doubled the disaster assistance amount to the state, resulting in quick restoration efforts. According to CM Dhami, the government’s primary goal is to support the people by giving emergency relief funding.
Responding to the Chief Minister, NHAI staff have been tasked with finding a long-term solution to the problem of water flooding in Nepal’s new dry port in Banbasa.
