Neeraj Chopra, a 2-time Olympic medallist, is now married and has shared the news on social media.

Neeraj Chopra, India’s ace javelin thrower, has married Himani. Neeraj, a two-time Olympic medallist, uploaded photos of his wedding on social media.

Chopra presented photos on social media. “I began a new chapter of my life with my family. I’m grateful for every blessing that has brought us together in this time. Bound by love, they live happily ever after. “Neeraj (heart emoji) Himani,” Chopra wrote in the caption of his post.

Neeraj is presently preparing for the 2025 season. He finished the 2024 season in second place in the Diamond League Final 2024 in Brussels, trailing Anderson Peters.

Neeraj Chopra has begun working with new coach

Neeraj has begun working with new coach Jan Zelezny, the world record holder in the javelin throw. He is scheduled to compete in a World Athletics Continental Tour javelin throw tournament in India in May alongside other top competitors.

The specific dates and venue of the tournament are yet to be determined; nevertheless, it will feature some of the top male and female javelin throwers from across the world.

Neeraj had expressed his desire to bring a top Javelin competition to India. “”It has been a lifelong goal of mine to organise and bring a superior javelin competition to India,” Neeraj Chopra stated before. “I am confident that both my fellow sportsmen and the Indian supporters will produce an unforgettable experience. I am interested to see how far we can take this.”

Notably, Neeraj became India’s only track and field athlete to win medals at successive Olympics. He won gold in the Tokyo Games 2021 with a throw of 87.58 meters. He was unable to defend his gold medal in Paris, but he did win another medal, this time silver.

He finished second to Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem with a throw of 89.45 meters. Arshad, on the other hand, won the gold medal in Paris after throwing his javelin 92.97 metres. He has not yet reached 90 metres, but he has come agonisingly near. Neeraj’s best throw was 89.94 meters, achieved at the 2022 Stockholm Diamond League.
