Mohammed Siraj was India’s final wicket to go, but not before they established an 18-run lead and escaped an innings defeat.
In response, Australian openers Usman Khawaja and Nathan McSweeney handled the new ball with ease. Australia surpassed the 19-run target in the fourth over. The current Border-Gavaskar Trophy is presently tied 1-1.
The two teams will now meet in the series’ third Test at Brisbane’s The Gabba. The match will commence on December 14.
