Sunrisers Hyderabad, aiming to chase down the score, sent out Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma to bat. Where both batters had planned for a strong performance, Head had to leave early, putting a major dent in SRH’s intentions.
20 runs in 16 deliveries was the outstanding opener’s departure total. Abhishek Sharma, on the other side, scored 74 runs in 41 deliveries to enable SRH continue the innings. In 18 deliveries, Heinrich Klaasen also scored 23 runs.
But the other batters didn’t affect the game in any way. With excellent bowling, the Gujarat Titans defeated SRH by 38 runs, holding them to 186.
Gujarat’s Prasidh Krishna and Mohammed Siraj claimed the most wickets during the match against SRH.
GT’s Prasidh Krishna and Mohammed Siraj each got two wickets in the second innings. Ishant Sharma and Gerald Coetzee each claimed one wicket. Following the win, GT moved up to second place in the standings, following only the Mumbai Indians. Sunrisers Hyderabad, on the other side, is in an even worse situation in terms of qualification.
