CSK lost quick wickets in the second innings, three in the powerplay, allowing RCB to gain momentum. Rahul Tripathi, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Deepak Hooda scored 5, 0, and 4, respectively. Opener Rachin Ravindra attempted to get going, but he, too, left after reaching 41. Later, Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni took a few strokes, but the game was already lost.
