PM Modi : Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took part in a campaign to promote cleanliness with schoolchildren to commemorate the Swachhata campaign’s tenth year.
PM Modi invited Indian citizens to engage in the cleanliness effort in order to reinforce the spirit of ‘Swachh Bharat.’
PM Narendra Modi will be at the Swachh Bharat Diwas the year 2024. The program took place on Wednesday at the Vigyan Bhawan building in New Delhi, coinciding with the 155th Gandhi Jayanti, which commemorates the tenth anniversary of the commencement of one of the most famous mass cleanliness programs, the Swachh Bharat Mission.

“During Gandhi Jayanti, I participated in the Swachhata Abhiyan with my adolescent friends.I would like to encourage everyone to assist clean up around you today. PM Modi remarked on X that your initiative will strengthen the spirit of ‘Swachh Bharat’ even more.
Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy welcomed the BJP government’s endeavor, adding that millions of toilets have been installed over the last decade, resulting in a considerable drop in open defecation and higher sanitary standards. He highlighted that this purpose is more than just cleanliness; it attempts to change attitudes, promote hygiene, and create a future that is profitable for everyone.
“As we mark the tenth anniversary of the campaign on Swachh Bharat Diwas, we are given a reminder of Mahatma Gandhi’s values. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s imaginative endeavor has made Gandhi Ji’s dream of a clean, self-sufficient India a reality. This national cleaning drive has brought millions of people together with the goal of constructing a Swachh, Sundar, and Samarth Bharat,” Kumaraswamy noted in an X post.
“On this historic day, let us respect Mahatma Gandhi’s legacy and continue to follow PM Modi’s lead toward a more environmentally friendly and more resilient India. “In conjunction, we could build a Swachh Bharat that will help subsequent generations of people,” the elected official commented.
