PM Modi : “Jai Mata Di!” PM Modi wishes countrymen Happy Navratri

PM Modi : On the opening day of Navratri, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished all Indians a “auspicious” celebration.

Home Minister Amit Shah also expressed his greetings to fellow Indians, asking for “welfare, happiness, and peace” for everyone worldwide on this momentous occasion.

Navratri is a popular festival related to Shakti, a collection of heaven-like effect, and the adoration of Ma Ambe, the mother of the universe. “I worshipped to Ma Durga for all humanity’s welfare, happiness, and peace,” Amit Shah wrote in a post on X.

Devotees flocked to temples throughout the country to mark the first day of the nine-day festival dedicated to Goddess Durga.

Shardiya Navratri is a nine-night Hindu celebration that honors the pure feminine energy represented by Goddess Durga. This festival, held in the lunar month of Ashwin, is distinguished by intense worship, elaborate rituals, and cultural displays.

Each day is dedicated to a distinct version of the goddess, representing different elements of strength, compassion, and knowledge. Fasting, chanting devotional songs, and participating in traditional dances such as Garba and Dandiya all contribute to a festive atmosphere.
