Uddhav Thackeray : “Everything is being shifted to Gujarat”: Uddhav Thackeray criticizes Maharashtra CM Shinde for losing big construction projects

Uddhav Thackeray : Maharashtra  Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray has criticized Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, stating that numerous manufacturing enterprises from the state had moved to Gujarat since he took office.

Uddhav Thackeray said in Ramtek

“Did you ever hear of a scheme from here going to Gujarat while I was Chief Minister?” Many firms have relocated to Gujarat in the two and a half years since Mindhe (Shinde) elected chief minister. Everything is being brought to Gujarat. The economic heart of Mumbai has also been relocated to Gujarat. We are not just fighting for power; we are fighting against the theft of Maharashtra,” Thackeray said at Ramtek, where he erected a statue of Maratha warrior king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

He claimed that in the last two years, Maharashtra had failed to secure contracts and industries that should have gone to nearby Gujarat. Notably, Vedanta-Foxconn signed an agreement with Gujarat in September 2022 for a Rs 1.54 lakh crore semiconductor project in Ahmedabad.

Thackeray additionally accused Union Home Minister Amit Shah of trying to “finish” him as well as NCP leader Sharad Pawar.

Uddhav Thackeray asked Mohan Bhagwat about BJP’s Hindutva ideology

“Do you, Mohan Bhagwatji (RSS chairman), support the Hindutva ideology of the BJP? Goons and crooked individuals are entering the BJP. Do you agree? Amit Shah is coming to finish me and Sharad Pawar; would you let us? Only my people, not Amit Shah, can kill me. If my family instructs me to sit at home, I will do so; if someone from Delhi tells me to sit at home, my family will make them do so as well. “After our government takes power, I will put an end to the looting in Maharashtra,” he stated.

Thackeray again chastised Chief Minister Eknath Shinde over the demise of the Shivaji statue at the Malvan fort in Sindhudurg, calling it a source of shame for the state.

He claimed that in the last two years, Maharashtra had failed to secure contracts and industries that it should have in neighboring Gujarat. Notably, Vedanta-Foxconn signed a contract with Gujarat in September 2022 for a Rs 1.54 lakh crore semiconductor project in Ahmedabad.

On August 26, a 35-foot-tall statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the Sindhudurg district collapsed. It was unveiled as part of the Navy Day celebrations last December 4 and inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The demise of the monument of the Maratha state’s legendary founder prompted a major political feud amongst state officials, with the opposition blaming the Eknath Shinde-led government.
