CBSE has held the board exam on February 15 every year since 2023. The exam was held from May 4 to June 7 in 2021 and April 26 to May 24 in 2022.

The exam will be administered on paper and pen. The Board will issue a different timetable for practical exams. The practical test for Class 12 will be overseen by an external examiner who will be visiting schools; however, the Class 10 practical exam will only be done in the presence of school teachers.

The CBSE Class 10 and 12 timetables will contain test dates, hours, and general instructions for students.

Meanwhile, CBSE is studying a semester system with biennial exams. Currently, board exams for grades 10 and 12 are held in February and March.

According to officials, negotiations are ongoing, and no decision has been taken on when or how to carry out the plan to hold board exams twice a year.

The board has informed the Union Education Ministry that the current structure requires more than 150 processes to conduct examinations for Classes 10 and 12.

The ministry’s initial aim was to start biannual board exams in the 2024-25 academic year. “However, it has been halted for one year.”

The new NCF, developed by the Union government-appointed national steering group chaired by former ISRO chairman K Kasturirangan and in conformity with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, recommends the use of semesters for learners in Classes 11 and 12.

Arvind Kejriwal : Will Kejriwal resign down from his position of power? Meeting with vice governor this evening

0

Arvind Kejriwal self-imposed 48-hour limit for resignation as Delhi’s Chief Minister expires today. He will see the lieutenant governor at 4:30 in the evening. It is not yet known who will be successful him.

Here are the top ten things on Arvind Kejriwal about this significant story

  • After being granted bail by the Supreme Court on Saturday, Kejriwal announced that he will resign from his position and seek a clean slate in the people’s court.
  • on Sunday, Mr Kejriwal declared his resignation. “I achieved justice from the legal the courtroom, and now I will seek fair from the people’s court…” I would like to ask Delhi residents if Kejriwal is clean or guilty. “If I worked hard, you’ll vote for me,” he stated.
  • However, even after a series of talks on Sunday and Monday, it remains unclear who would succeed him.
  • Mr Kejriwal sought the views of the party’s Political Affairs Committee on the issue on Monday and met with several leaders one-on-one, according to senior politician Saurabh Bhardwaj.
  • Manish Sisodia, Mr Kejriwal’s formerly Deputy, has made a similar commitment, putting them both out of the running. Mr Sisodia was previously arrested in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case and spent 18 months in jail before being released on bail.
  • Atishi, AAP’s most prominent minister, leads the list of probables. Saurabh Bhardwaj, Raghav Chadha, Kailash Gahlot, and Sanjay Singh round up the group.
  • Mr Kejriwal has called for a joint election in November with Maharashtra. His party has stated that the voters want to re-elect him. The Delhi assembly elections will take place in February of next year.
  • Mr Kejriwal’s election, however, will not address his legal issues. While the Supreme Court has not asked him to resign, it has stated that he cannot visit his office or the Delhi Secretariat or sign papers without the agreement of Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, essentially limiting his ability to operate as Chief Minister.
  • Mr Kejriwal’s announcement that he would quit has sparked criticism from the BJP, which has questioned why he did not do so “today.”
  • The Delhi Congress, AAP’s bitter enemies despite the INDIA bloc coalition, labelled it a political gimmick. “It would have been better if he had resigned when Delhi was facing floods and a drinking water shortage,” said Delhi Congress head Devendra Yadav.

Kejriwal is expected to quit and designate a successor to Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena before the national capital’s elections.

A day before party MLAs gather to decide on Kejriwal successor, the AAP hosted a series of meetings to discuss probable contenders for the chief minister’s office.

The current session of the Delhi Assembly expires on February 11, 2025. Delhi’s last parliamentary election was conducted on February 8, 2020.

Arvind Kejriwal Resignation Information: BJP, Congress Criticise Delhi CM’s Move

The BJP called Kejriwal’s resignation as Delhi Chief Minister a “PR stunt.” According to BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari, Kejriwal’s action was an attempt to restore his image among voters, who now regard him as “corrupt.”

Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit also denounced the resignation, calling it a “gimmick.” He questioned the legitimacy of a leader announcing such a resignation after being released on bail and ordered by the Supreme Court not to perform official duties.

Arvind Kejriwal will meet L-G Saxena at 4:30 p.m. tonight

Kejriwal is scheduled to meet with Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena today at 4:30 p.m., at which he is likely to present his resignation. Saxena has verified the meeting’s schedule. AAP had already stated that Kejriwal was likely to stand down. The AAP chief had declared that he and Manish Sisodia would only take office again if the public confirmed their honesty.

World Patient Safety Day (WPSD), which is commemorated annually on September 17, aims to improve global awareness of patient safety issues. The day also encourages countries and international partners to work together to reduce patient harm.

World Patient Safety Day 2024: History and Importance

The World Health Organization (WHO) observes 11 official worldwide public health campaigns, including World Patient Safety Day. It was founded in May 2019 when the 72nd World Health Assembly passed resolution WHA 72.6 on ‘Global action on patient safety’. This global movement is built on a series of yearly Ministerial Conferences on Patient Safety, which started in 2016, as well as high-level advocacy and support from major international and national stakeholders.

Patient safety is concerned with minimizing and mitigating risks, errors, and injury to patients throughout the delivery of healthcare. Safety for patients is a healthcare discipline that evolved in response to the growing complexity of healthcare systems and the rise in patient injuries in healthcare settings.

The WHO’s observation

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), patient damage caused by adverse events is one of the top causes of morbidity and mortality globally. “According to the data at hand, clinics in low- and middle-income countries produce 134 million adverse events per year, resulting in 2.6 million fatality.” According to the World Health Organization, one out of every ten patients in high-income countries is wounded while in the hospital.

World Patient Safety Day Theme For 2024

The topic of World Patient Safety Day-2024 is enhancing diagnosis for patient safety, with the tagline “Get it right, make it safe!” On this day, family members and patients, health care staff members, healthcare leaders, lawmakers, and civil society representatives will all stress the importance of accurate and prompt diagnosis in enhancing patient safety. This year, WHO will illuminate Geneva’s iconic Jet d’Eau to symbolize its dedication to patient safety.

Motto of the World Patient Safety Day

World Patient Safety Day encourages worldwide unity and coordinated action by all governments and international partners to improve patient safety. The day brings together patients, families, caregivers, communities, health workers, healthcare executives, and policymakers to demonstrate their dedication to patient safety. It emphasizes the vital need of accurate and prompt diagnosis for patient safety and better health outcomes.

Global Patient Safety Action Plan 2021–2030

The World Health Organization has organized a global consultation titled “Improving Diagnostic Safety and Implementing the Global Patient Safety Action Plan 2021-2030” in Geneva, Switzerland, with the goal of discussing strategies for improving diagnostic processes and reducing errors. It focuses on the success and challenges of executing the Global Patient Safety Action Plan (GPSAP) 2021-2030, based on the results of the Global Patient Safety Report (GPSR) 2024.

Important messages

The four key messages that WHO distributed on the occasion were: correct and timely diagnosis is the first step to preventative interventions and effective treatment, understanding the diagnostic process is critical to reducing errors, a variety of solutions are available to address diagnostic errors, and diagnosis is a team effort.

Background

In 2019, the 72nd World Health Assembly adopted a resolution making World Patient Safety Day a global health priority. Each year, the WHO launches global campaigns on several patient safety themes, including safe childbirth, pharmaceutical safety, and patient and caregiver empowerment.

The patient safety movement gained traction as it was recognized that dangerous healthcare practices cause enormous preventable harm and expense to health systems around the world.

World Patient Safety Day 2024 of Significance

  1. Global ramifications
With poor care resulting in millions of deaths and disabilities, the day draws attention to a global issue.
  2. Work together
It urges governments, healthcare institutions, and professionals to work together to implement safer practices and enhance patient outcomes.
  3. Improving the health-care system
The day’s advocacy for safety helps to reinforce the strength and effectiveness of healthcare systems around the world, making healthcare more dependable and responsible.

World Patient Safety Day serves as a reminder of the importance of vigilance, quality care, and international cooperation in ensuring that patients receive safe and effective care.

Arvind Kejriwal : After Arvind Kejriwal, who will be Delhi’s next Chief Minister? Six alternative names:

0

Arvind Kejriwal : Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s statement on Sunday that he would leave from his top office has spurred conjecture about his probable successor, with numerous senior AAP leaders’ names circulating.

According to reports, incumbent Delhi lawmakers like as Atishi, Saurabh Bharadwaj, Kailash Gahlot, Gopal Rai, and Imran Hussain are among those who could succeed him.

It is also possible that Arvind Kejriwal’s wife, Sunita Kejriwal, will take the position. Some leaders have stated that a Dalit leader could be nominated as the next Chief Minister, but have not named any specific names.

The AAP convenor has ruled out the notion of his former deputy, Manish Sisodia, taking over and assured that an AAP member will occupy his role until the elections are done.

The Delhi Assembly’s current term will finish on February 11, 2025.The previous assembly election in Delhi was conducted on February 8, 2020. In the 70-member assembly, the AAP won 62 seats, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won 8.

Meanwhile, Sisodia has said that he will campaign with Kejriwal, seeking votes based on honesty, and that he will not take up any official position until he receives a clean chit from the people.

Atishi stands out among the front-runners for the position of chief minister because she manages several vital portfolios, including education, finance, revenue, and law.

Kejriwal had asked her to replace him in hoisting the tricolor on Independence Day. However, this nomination was denied, and Gahlot was appointed instead by the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi.

PDT Achary, former Lok Sabha secretary general, claimed that the Election Commission was not “duty bound” to support Kejriwal’s proposal for early polls. He went on to explain that if the chief minister resigns, the entire cabinet must follow suit, and a new regime must be established, because LG would require the council of ministers’ assistance and advice to function well.

On February 16, Arvind Kejriwal took the oath of office as Chief Minister for the third time since winning the election in 2013. According to a report in the News Paper, authorities from the Delhi Chief Electoral Officer’s office stated that the ECI announced the special summary revision of the picture electoral record in August, with the state elections scheduled for February 2025.

The continuing effort is set to complete in early January 2025, with the final publication of electoral rolls expected for January 6, 2025.

According to the AAP national convener, he will become cm and Manish Sisodia’s deputy “only if individuals say we are sincere”. A party official said on Monday that Kejriwal and Sisodia will meet today. This will be the first meeting following their decision. The meeting is also likely to include a debate on the next chief minister.

The meeting will be conducted in the chief minister’s official residence in the Civil Lines neighborhood. Kejriwal, who was released on bail from Tihar Jail on Friday in the excise policy fraud case, has stated that he will convene an AAP MLA meeting in a few days and that one of his party colleagues will take over as chief minister. His surprising announcement sparked speculation about his wife Sunita and ministers Atishi and Gopal Rai as potential replacements.

Arvind Kejriwal stated on Sunday

Kejriwal stated on Sunday that after being released from jail, he intends to conduct a “agnipariksha” (fire trial).”The Delhi elections are scheduled for Feb 2025, but I insist on conducting them in November 2024, with Maharashtra. “I will become the cm and Sisodia deputy chief minister only if voters consider we are transparent,” he claimed.

According to AAP sources, Kejriwal would depart the Chief Minister’s residence within 15 days after retiring from the top office. Party insiders further said that Kejriwal made the decision to step down during a closed-door meeting with senior AAP leaders.

Shubman Gill is scheduled to rest for India’s forthcoming T20I series against Bangladesh

0

Shubman Gill : India vice-captain Shubman Gill is among the key players who will be rested for the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh beginning October 7 as part of the BCCI’s workload management policy. Gill, India’s No.3 in Tests, is a key member of the top order alongside Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Yashasvi Jaiswal, and is likely to play in all ten Tests this season. Aside from Gill, a few other key players will be rested in preparation for the three-match Test series against New Zealand.

India  international season will begin with a two-Test series against Bangladesh in Chennai on September 19, followed by a second match in Kanpur on September 27.

Shubman Gill may get rest during Bangladesh T20 series

“Yes, Shubman will relax all through the Bangladesh Twenty twenty Internationally Series. The three T20Is are set for October 7 (Gwalior), 10 (Delhi), and 13 (Hyderabad), according to the calendar. The first Test against New Zealand is currently scheduled for the 16th of October.

“With a 3 -day turnaround times it is important to offer Gill a break,” a BCCI official told PTI on the condition of anonymity.

Gill has played 21 T20Is and has a hundred and three fifties, as well as a strike rate of around 140. He was recently named captain of India’s five-match series against Zimbabwe in Harare, which India won 4-1.

In the current season, T20Is are the Indian team’s least important priority, with World Test Championship points and a five-match series against Australia coming first.

Also, ODIs will be essential because the Champions Trophy will be played in that format in February and March. The majority of the Test team members are expected to rest for the twenty-20 internationals against Bangladesh.

While Rohit, Virat, and Ravindra Jadeja have retired from the shortest format, pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj will also be rested based on workload management guidelines.

It will be fascinating to see if Rishabh Pant plays T20Is, given his workload is important to selectors and he is required in longer forms.

Also, ODIs will be essential because a Champions Trophy will be played in that format in February-March. The majority of the Test team members are unlikely to face Bangladesh in T20Is.

It will be interesting to see if Rishabh Pant plays T20Is, given his workload is important to selectors and he is needed in longer categories.

According to reports, the majority of the Test team players are unlikely to face Najmul Hossain Shanto & Co., which means pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj would be rested to meet workload management rules.

However, it will be fascinating to observe if Rishabh Pant is also rested for the three-match series. Pant is likely to play all ten red-ball matches for India. His workload is crucial to selectors, and he is required in extended forms.

If Pant is rested, Ishan Kishan may be reconsidered after spending nine months of the year in the foreign wilderness.

Ishan will return?

Ishan Kishan’s fortunes may turn around after a contentious start to the year. The young wicketkeeper-batsman sparked controversy when he made himself unavailable for national selection late last year, and his subsequent absence from Jharkhand’s squad cost him a spot in the BCCI’s central contracts. The action appeared to have jeopardised his international cricket prospects.

However, Ishan has taken major steps to rectify the situation. In the current season, he returned to the domestic circuit, representing Jharkhand in the Buchi Babu Invitational. His hard work paid off when he returned to play for India C in the Duleep Trophy, striking an incredible century in the second round.

According to the report, Rishabh Pant may be rested for the T20I series as well, which might put Ishan in contention.

Mamata Banerjee conducts a surprise visit to the junior physicians’ protest location

Mamata Banerjee : West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee visited and addressed the medics who are conducting a sit-in on Saturday, taking an unexpected step to end the standoff between her government and the protesters.

The medical professionals have been protesting since a trainee doctor was raped and murdered at RG Kar Medical College and Clinic in Kolkata last month, and they held a sit-in outside Swasthya Bhavan, the West Bengal Department of Health headquarters, on Tuesday. Since then, there have been attempts to hold a meeting between the state administration and the doctors, but they have stalled, most recently due to the protestors’ demand for live streaming of the talks.

Mamata Banerjee arrived at the protest site on Monday

Ms. Banerjee arrived at the protest site on Monday in a friendly tone, requesting permission to speak with the doctors. During the shouts, she addressed them in Bengali, saying, “Please allow me to speak for five minutes before continuing with your slogans—it is your democratic right to express yourself.” I’ve been waiting a long time to speak with you. Despite my security officials’ advise, I’ve come here to support your demonstration. I recognize, having been active in student movements myself, that my position is not as significant as yours. You braved the rain all night, and I, too, felt distressed, keeping me awake.

She acknowledged that the protests had been ongoing for more than a month and asked the doctors to return to work, assuring them that the government would listen to their concerns.

“I will be looking into the demands; I do not govern the country single-handedly.” I will speak with the chief secretary, the home secretary, and the director general of police. Those found to be guilty will face the penalty. I demand justice for Tilottama (the name given to the raped and murdered woman). I will use your platform to request that the CBI speed up the probe. I suggest that you allow me some time to examine your demands.”If you have trust for me, please come and talk with me; I will review your requests,” she said to the physicians.
