PM Modi on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas in Gujarat , “A new model of urban Naxalism has emerged; we must identify these forces.”

0

PM Modi : On the occasion of National Unity Day, or Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that his government is working toward attaining ‘One Nation, One Election,’ which will ensure simultaneous polls for the Lok Sabha and state assemblies.

PM Modi emphasized the spirit of unity and inspiration

On Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary in Kevadia, Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the spirit of unity and inspiration. He stated that the recent decade has seen “unprecedented achievements for the unity of India” and that national unity will be reflected in every endeavor and purpose of the government.

PM Modi working on One Nation One Election

“…We are currently working on One Nation One Election, which will strengthen India’s democracy, maximize the use of India’s resources, and give the country new momentum in fulfilling its ambition of a developed India. “Today, India is moving toward One Nation, One Civil Code, which is a secular civil code,” Modi stated.

On the occasion, Modi also stated that certain groups, threatened by India’s emerging strength and unity, attempt to create turmoil, destabilize India’s economy, and deter global investors, urging every patriot to recognise and resist these “Urban Naxals”—agents of discord who target the nation’s unity.

“These folks, while using the Constitution and democracy, are attempting to divide India among her citizens. We must recognise this urban Naxalite coalition. As my fellow citizens, the Naxalism that arose in the forests, arming adolescents with rifles, has gradually faded, and a new kind of urban Naxalism has evolved. “We need to identify and confront those who dream of breaking the country and spreading ideas that undermine it while wearing false masks,” Modi said in his speech.

PM Modi declared

PM Modi also declared that for the next two years, India will commemorate Sardar Patel’s 150th birth anniversary. To celebrate his contributions to India’s unity, all government activities will reflect national cohesion.

“Today marks the start of Sardar Patel’s 150th birth anniversary year, and the country will commemorate it for the next two years. This is a recognition of his remarkable services to India. This period will be filled with recognition of his outstanding achievements, and national unity will be reflected in every government endeavor and mission. When India got independence, some predicted that it would collapse. They had given up hope that hundreds of princely nations could be merged to form a united India, but Sardar Sahib succeeded. This was feasible because Sardar Sahib was a realist in his behavior, sincere in his commitment, humane in his actions, and nationalist in his goal, according to the Prime Minister.

On ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas,’ PM Modi also stated that the realization of a united nation and constitution is his greatest homage to Sardar Patel.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the Statue of Unity on his 150th birthday, adding that Patel’s legacy continues to inspire future generations. After paying tribute to Patel, he administered the Unity Oath and participated in the ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ march at Kevadia’s march Ground.

The Ekta Diwas Parade featured 16 marching contingents from nine states and one Union Territory, together with four Central Armed Police Forces, the National Cadet Corps (NCC), and a marching band. A Hell March contingent of the National Security Guard (NSG), a daredevil show by BSF and CRPF motorbikes, a display of Indian Martial Arts by the BSF, a piped band performance by schoolchildren, and an Indian Air Force ‘Surya Kiran’ flypast were among the special attractions.

Photos : Tips & Tricks for Taking Beautiful Diwali Photos with Your Smartphone

0

Photos : The celebration has already begun, and everyone is almost set to dress in their best gear and look picture-perfect. But getting snapped is boring, so we’ve compiled a list of interesting methods to take attractive photos with your smartphone this Diwali. Here are a few quick tips:

Use Night Mode to take better low-light photos

As pooja begins in the dark in many houses, we need a good Night Mode on our smartphones to snap wonderfully lit images in low light situations. Using this function should make Diwali’s evening more clear and dazzling. The feature is normally engaged automatically in low-light conditions.

Portrait mode

Another creative way to capture stunning photos during Diwali. This will help to make portraits pop by focusing on the subject. This setting is employed with depth effects to accentuate your subject while softening the background, resulting in a professional-looking shot.

HDR mode

HDR (High Dynamic Range) Mode is another rarely used function, but once enabled, it produces the highest quality photographs. This Diwali, try taking HDR photos to capture stunning moments with a lot of contrast, such as diya lighting and colorful decorations. This option helps to balance light and shadows, resulting in a clear image.

Burst Mode (For Action Shots)

Diwali festivities sometimes entail fast-paced activities, and Burst Mode can help you get the best action images. Hold down the camera’s shutter button to activate Burst Mode, which records a quick sequence of photographs and allows you to select the best shot later.

Editing tools

After shooting images with your device, you may utilize the images app’s built-in editing capabilities. You could enhance the photographs by adjusting the brightness, contrast, and saturation.

Several filters are now accessible on all smartphones, and you may customize selfies with editing and beautifying tools to add warmth to your festive photos, making your Diwali photographs even more brilliant.

Pro-Mode (for professional photographs) Photos

When you click ‘More’ on your camera, you will see another mode available. It aids in the capture of better and more natural-looking color photos.

IPL 2025 : Did CSK post emojis of their retained players on social media ahead of the IPL 2025 auction? Explain in detail

0

IPL 2025 : The long-awaited IPL retention has here. Before the big auction for the 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on October 31, all ten teams will disclose their roster of retained players. Several reports about a few teams are already circulating. However, five-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) appear to have revealed their retained players in their latest social media post, sparking widespread curiosity among fans.

MS Dhoni, who last played for India in 2019, is poised to remain uncapped. He intends to enjoy the last few years of his cricket career and has the full backing of CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan. Dhoni recounted how he didn’t love cricket as a vocation during his career because there was so much at stake. He is now willing to play freely and enjoy the IPL for two and a half months, while spending the rest of the year with family.

“I just want to take advantage of the last few years of my cricket career. When you play cricket professionally, it’s difficult to enjoy it just as a game. That is what I am aiming for now. The emotions and commitments are tremendous, but I want to find joy in the game over the next few years. “I require to stay fit for nine months to compete in those two and a half months of IPL, so I must prepare while also relaxing a little,” said Dhoni at a recent event.

ICYMI, each club can keep a maximum of six players. Capped and uncapped players are limited to a maximum of five and two, respectively. MS Dhoni, a five-time IPL winner and former Chennai Super Kings captain, is likely to be retained as an uncapped player after the IPL Governing Council reinstated the rule that a capped player will be retained as an uncapped cricketer if he has not played a single international match in the last five years.

Dhoni’s final international match for India came in 2019 at the ODI World Cup in England. Apart from Dhoni, Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul will be watched closely. While there have been suggestions that the Delhi Capitals may release Pant in order for the wicketkeeper to join CSK, there is a good chance Rahul would also be available in the auction.

Dhoni, 43, looked over the CSK captaincy to Ruturaj Gaikwad last season and took on a new batting position, typically coming in deeper down the order. This shift sparked debate about his future, as he focused on mentoring younger players. Dhoni recently addressed his present perspective during a promotional event in Goa, noting, “I just want to enjoy the last few years of cricket I can play.” Like when we were kids, we’d go out and play at 4 p.m. simply for the fun of it.”

Diwali bank holidays 2024: Will banks shut down on October 31 and November 1? Check out the state-specific bank holidays list.

Diwali bank holidays 2024: In 2024, Diwali, one of India’s most celebrated festivals, is scheduled to coincide with a number of public holidays, including bank holidays, throughout several states. Diwali represents the triumph of light over darkness and goodness over evil, making it an important cultural and spiritual festival for millions of people. For banks and financial organizations, this holiday season suggests special vacations to allow staff to spend time with their family.

Diwali will take place on October 31, 2024. Many banks in India will be closed on or around this date, though the specific holidays may vary by state. For example, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Delhi, and Karnataka all have a holiday on Diwali’s main day, while certain states, like as Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, have additional holidays for Govardhan Puja or Bhai Dooj in the days that follow

Customers are recommended to conduct urgent financial transactions in advance or to use online banking services during this period, as ATM withdrawals may increase owing to festive demand. It’s also a good idea to check with local offices or the Reserve Bank of India’s website for state-specific holidays, as not every location follows the same timetable. A little forward planning will help you enjoy Diwali to the fullest, assuring uninterrupted celebrations and a smooth transition back to regular routines after the festivities are over.

Diwali bank holidays 2024

As Diwali gets closer, it is critical to organize bank visits ahead of time, as several states will observe holidays on October 31 and November 1. Some governments have designated October 31 as a bank holiday due to regional customs, while others have set November 1 as one. Checking your state’s specific holiday dates will help you prevent financial difficulties.

This year’s Diwali date has sparked some misunderstanding. Diwali is celebrated on the Amavasya Tithi, which in 2024 falls between October 31 at 3:52 pm and November 1 at 6:16 pm. Because of this overlap, different regions now celebrate Diwali on either day, altering bank closures accordingly. Knowing these dates can help people, businesses, and travelers plan their finances for the festival season.

Diwali (Diwali 2024) is being enjoyed in the country, and this year there is uncertainty over the celebration of lights. Which day will Diwali be celebrated, October 31 or November 1? This time, there is confusion about the right date to celebrate the celebration.

The Diwali bank holiday is on Thursday, October 31

On October 31, banks in Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal will all be closed.

Tripura, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Manipur, Jammu, Kashmir, and Meghalaya do not have any closed banks.

Diwali bank holiday on Friday, November 1

Banks in Tripura, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Sikkim, and Manipur will be closed for Deepavali, Kut Festival, and Kannada Rajyotsava.

Diwali is a bank holiday on November 2 (Saturday).

Diwali (Bali Pratipada), Balipadyami, Laxmi Puja (Deepawali), Govardhan Pooja, and Vikram Samvant. Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh will all have bank closures on New Year’s Day.

Important dates for Diwali in 2024

Choti Diwali falls on Wednesday, October 30, 2024.
On October 31, 2024 (Thursday), the main Diwali celebrations and Laxmi Pujan take place. On November 2, 2024 (Saturday), Govardhan Puja takes place. On November 3, 2024 (Sunday), Bhai Dooj is celebrated.

Diwali : Don’t throw THESE 5 things when cleaning your residence to seek the favor of Goddess Lakshmi.

0

Diwali, the holy holiday, will be held on October 31, 2024. People who practice Hinduism clean their homes prior to the Diwali festival. On Diwali, Ganesh ji, Kuber Dev, and other deities are worshipped alongside Goddess Lakshmi. These deities are thought to enter homes that are clean and decorated. Therefore, cleaning the house on the occasion of Diwali becomes quite significant.

However, while cleaning before Diwali, particular items should not be tossed out of the house, even by accident, as doing so makes Goddess Lakshmi upset.

  1. Feathers of the Peacock

In Hinduism, peacock feathers are regarded exceedingly fortunate. Many people keep peacock feathers at home or in temples. During Diwali cleaning, some people dispose of feathers that they had kept for a long time. Goddess Lakshmi is said to get furious if a peacock feather is thrown away during Diwali cleaning. As a result, rather than tossing away the peacock feather, clean it and store it in a clean environment.

  1. Broom

During Diwali and Dhanteras, people buy new brooms. During Diwali cleaning, many individuals throw off the old broom. However, you should never do this, even by accident. Throwing out the old broom before Diwali is not a good thing. Keep the old broom out of sight. After Diwali, you can either utilize the broom or give it to a cleaning crew.

  1. Used coins and pennies

Cowries are offered in adoration of Goddess Lakshmi. Coins are often used as an offering in worship. During the Diwali pooja, individuals discard these coins and cowries because they believe they are old. However, doing so is not deemed advantageous to you. You can wash these coins and cowries and preserve them in a sacred spot or in a clean area of your home. You should avoid handing these money and cowries to anyone, even if it is by mistake, as this will cause Goddess Lakshmi to leave your home.

  1. Religious books

While cleaning up for Diwali, avoid tossing away outdated religious texts. Many people sell these books as rubbish, which is not acceptable. You can donate these books to folks after Diwali or to those in need. If you are unable to do so, consider donating them to a library, for example.

  1. Red Colored Clothing

In Hinduism, the colour red is regarded exceedingly auspicious. As a result, you should avoid tossing away red-colored clothing. If there is a red cloth or chunari in the place of worship, avoid tossing it away. You can wash and reuse these clothing after Diwali.

Even if you make a mistake while cleaning for Diwali, you should not toss all of these things out. If you toss these items away, it is thought that Goddess Lakshmi will not enter your home.

Diwali : what to do on diwali

Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is marked with a variety of significant activities that add to the celebration. The celebrations frequently begin with a complete cleaning of the house. People seek the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi, the divinity of wealth and success, by tidying up and beautifying.

Another major practice is decorating the house with colorful rangolis, oil lights, and diyas. This enhances the surroundings and creates a lively, pleasant atmosphere. People put on fresh clothes and gather for the evening puja, during which they pray to Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha for happiness, health, and wealth.

The exchange of sweets and presents with friends and family is a widespread Diwali tradition. Sharing sweets represents spreading joy and prosperity. Although fireworks are a common way to celebrate, they should be used safely to reduce pollution and ensure safety.

Diwali is a holiday of love and charity, thus many people spend their time assisting those in need. People spread the joy of Diwali by offering clothing, food, or money. Celebrating Diwali with loved ones strengthens ties and promotes a spirit of peace and unity.

Matthew Wade : Australian cricketer Matthew Wade has announced his retirement from international cricket

0

Matthew Wade, Australia’s most successful and beloved wicketkeeper-batsman, has announced his retirement from international cricket and will begin his coaching career.

Wade represented Australia in 36 Tests, 97 One-Day Internationals, and 92 T20 Internationals, with his final appearance coming at this year’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in the West Indies.

In his 13-year career, the Tasmanian has played a key role in several Australian victories, none more so than the 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, where his performance was critical to the team’s success.

He will join Australia’s coaching staff for the upcoming T20 Series against Pakistan, coached by Andre Borovec, as well as the ODI Series, which begins next week in Melbourne.

Matthew Wade will continue to play domestic cricket for Tasmania

Wade will continue to play domestic cricket for Tasmania and in the Big Bash League with the Hobart Hurricanes for the next two summers, while his coaching career begins.

Wade has been coaching Tasmanian young and second XI teams this winter, duties he aims to develop in and around the Australian system while playing in the summer.

Matthew Wade stated

Matthew Wade commented, “I was fully aware that my professional career was likely over at the conclusion of the previous T20 World Cup. Over the last six months, George (Bailey) and Andrew (McDonald) and I have been in continual contact about my international retirement and coaching.

“At the conclusion of the previous T20 World Cup, I was well aware that my international career was likely ended. The ICC reported Wade as stating, “My international retirement and coaching have been a regular debate with George (Bailey) and Andrew (McDonald) over the last six months.”

“Training has been on my radar for some time, and am thankful and excited to have had some great experiences.

“This summer, I plan to play in the BBL and the occasional brand league, but I am also actively pursuing a coaching career.

“As my international career comes to a close, I’d like to thank all of my Australian teammates, staff, and coaches. I appreciated the ride, which was as tough as it could be at the international level. Without wonderful people around me, I would not have gotten as much out of myself as I did.

“I would also like to thank my family, especially my mother, father, and sisters, for the many hours they’ve spent driving me to practice and competitions over the years.

“Lastly, Julia and the children. I can’t thank them enough for making the sacrifices that allowed me to pursue my aspirations. No words can express how grateful I am to them; none of this would have been possible without their help.”

Cricket Australia CEO Nick Hockley said: “Best of luck to Matthew on what has been a fantastic international career, during which his skill and versatility have made him a great performer across all formats.

“I’m excited he will add to his enormous achievements by guiding the next generation of stars and also continue to light up the Big Bash with the Hobart Hurricanes.”

“For the past 13 years, Matthew has been a beloved player in Australian squads of all types. His resilience and versatility were evident throughout his career, and he should be quite proud of his international effect.”

Diwali : How to please the Goddess Lakshmi at Diwali

0

Diwali, the celebration of lights and diyas, will take place this year on October 31, 2024. This festival is mostly about seeking the blessings of many Gods and Goddesses, but most importantly, people perform several puja ceremonies to honor Goddess Laxmi. Appeasing the Goddess Lakshmi at Diwali is especially advantageous since she represents money, wealth, and good fortune. Devotees perform certain rituals during the festival, particularly on the day of Lakshmi Puja, to seek her blessings.

Here, we shall examine the six most effective ways to appease Goddess Lakshmi during Diwali:

  1. House cleaning and decoration

It is believed that Goddess Lakshami resides where there is cleanliness, hence people should cleanse their homes at least 5-6 days before Diwali. They are also encouraged to decorate their home with lights, diyas, and other ornamental items. This helps to eliminate negativity in the home and invite good fortune. People could also make gorgeous, colorful rangolis to welcome Goddess Laxmi.

  1. Perform Lakshmi Puja on Diwali

During the Diwali festival, perform a number of puja rituals to honor Goddess Lakshami, such as chanting mantras, invoking the idol, making various offerings, and completing hawan ceremonies. Puja is essential for connecting to cosmic energy.

  1. Naivedyam, or home-made sweets

Offering sweets and naivedyam (food offerings) is a means to express thanks and dedication. It is thought that Lakshami’s favorite naivedyam is homemade kheer. People should serve kheer to Maa Laxmi. Goddess Lakshmi blesses those who bring sweets to her.

  1. Chanting Mantras

Chanting mantras dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi brings her blessings, harmony, and abundance into the home. Recite mantras related to Goddess Laxmi. People can appease the Goddess by reciting mantras and stotras. Lakshmi Gayatri Mantra is also known as Mahalakshmi Ashtakam. If they are chanted with great devotion, they bring both the Goddess’ blessings and money. We’ve included a few mantras to chant, but only at midnight and 108 times each.

  1. “Om Shreem Maha Lakshmiyei Namaha”
  2. “Om Shreem Shreem Kamle Kamlalaye Prasidh Prasidh Shreem Hreem Shreem Om Mahalakshmi Namah”

5 . Lighting Diya and lamps

Diwali, or the Festival of Lights, honors the triumph of light over darkness. Goddess Lakshmi is said to visit regions where there is plenty of light; well-lighted homes and lit diyas also generate positive energy and chase away darkness. Use diyas and oil lights to illuminate the front door, windows, and balcony. It is believed that lighting at least 21 diyas in the evening on Diwali will bring the Goddess’ blessings.

  1. Offering Kamalgatta at Diwali

Lotus seeds, also known as Kamalgatta, are traditionally offered to Goddess Lakshmi on Diwali to represent riches and spiritual enlightenment. Kamalgatta is particularly crucial when worshipping Goddess Lakshmi because she is depicted sitting on a lotus. Lotus flower denotes beauty, purity, and divine energy; it is closely related with Goddess Lakshmi. Chanting Lakshmi mantras while performing 108 offerings is a popular activity that brings. The use of kamalgatta during mantra chanting is said to increase the power of the mantras and strengthen the devotee’s link with Goddess Lakshmi.

To greet the Goddess, create a colorful rangoli on your doorstep. A lotus flower or little footprints are frequent emblems used to honor her.

Finally, Share food or give to people in need. Acts of kindness during Diwali are thought to please her. Following these rituals with faith may result in peace, happiness, and success in your home.

National Pension System : Excellent News! Senior citizens may continue to invest even after retirement; however, they must understand the requirements.

0

National Pension System : The National Pension System (NPS) is a good investing choice for retirement funds and monthly pensions. Investing in NPS allows you to not only safeguard your retirement but also benefit from tax breaks. In an NPS, the investor receives a lump sum payment at retirement, as well as the benefit of a monthly pension. The unique aspect is that there is no tax on the money received at maturity. If you believe that investments in NPS can only be made while on the job, you are incorrect.

The new guidelines allow you to continue investing in NPS even after you retire. The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has implemented many adjustments to make NPS more flexible. Investments can now be made between the ages of 60 and 65, and subscribers can continue to contribute to the NPS until they reach the age of 70.

60% can be removed at maturity

At maturity, the full fund cannot be withdrawn from the NPS. Annuities, which provide retirement pensions, must account for 40% of the total fund. The remaining 60% can be withdrawn as a lump sum. If you do not wish to withdraw your NPS deposits after retirement, the government allows you to do so.

There is a tax exemption available

Investing in NPS also offers tax breaks. You are entitled to a tax deduction under Sections 80CCD(1), 80CCD(1B), and 80CCD(2) of the Indian Income Tax Act of 1961. Section 80CCD(1B) allows for an extra deduction of up to Rs 50,000 on investments in NPS, in addition to the tax exemption of Rs 1.5 lakh under Section 80C.

National Pension System account types:

In NPS, accounts are classified into two types: Tier 1 and Tier 2. Tier 1 accounts are retirement accounts with certain withdrawal criteria. Tier 2 accounts, on the other hand, function similarly to savings accounts, allowing you to withdraw money without restriction.

National Payment System advantages

A National Payment System (NPS) has many advantages. First, it streamlines financial transactions across the country, allowing for faster and more dependable payments. This improves the overall efficiency of the economy by decreasing cash handling and encouraging digital payments. An NPS also promotes financial inclusion by allowing underprivileged communities to gain access to banking and payment services, hence increasing their economic involvement.

An NPS benefits organizations by lowering transaction costs because digital payments are typically less expensive than older ways. This could boost profitability and competitiveness. It also increases transparency by mitigating the risks connected with cash transactions. Governments benefit from better tax collection because digital transactions create an audit trail, which helps to decrease tax evasion.

Consumers benefit from the convenience of rapid payments, a reduction in the need for currency, and increased security, as digital payments lessen theft and loss risks. The NPS promotes economic growth by fostering innovation in fintech and digital services, attracting investments, and creating jobs in the digital sector.

Furthermore, an NPS promotes financial stability. A unified system improves financial transaction control, allowing for the early detection and mitigation of potential hazards. It can also help monetary policy by enhancing data on money flow, which aids in economic planning.

Finally, an NPS supports cross-border payments by creating uniform standards, making international trade easier and more efficient. In conclusion, a National Payment System promotes a strong, inclusive, and secure financial infrastructure, which benefits the entire economy.
