Pakistan Missile Test : In the wake of the Pahalgam terror assault, Pakistan claimed on Saturday that the Abdali Weapon System, a surface-to-surface missile with a range of 450 km, had been successfully tested.

According to a Pakistan Army statement, the launch was conducted to verify operational readiness and validate crucial technological attributes of the missile, including as its sophisticated navigation system and increased agility. The missile test was part of “Exercise INDUS,” although no other information about the exercise was provided.

“The launch was aimed at ensuring the operational readiness of troops and validating key technical parameters, including the missile’s advanced navigation system and enhanced manoeuvrability features,” the Pakistani military said in a statement.
Senior officials from the Strategic Plans Division, the Commander of the Army Strategic Forces Command, and engineers and scientists from Pakistan’s strategic institutions saw the start of the training.

Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and military officials congratulated the test’s participants.
They expressed complete trust in Pakistan’s Strategic Forces’ operational capability and technical expertise in maintaining credible minimum deterrence and protecting national security from any danger.
