According to Iraj Elahi, Iran has extended out to other countries
As stated by Iraj Elahi, Iran is in contact with other countries, including Russia and China, yet not with India. However, he claimed that Iran “requested India” and other influential nations to use it to persuade Israel to de-escalate.
“We feel the region requires peace and stability. Iran wants an effective neighborhood rather than an influential nation. A country’s progress depends on its peace and stability.
“However, we cannot remain aloof to what is happening in Palestine. “We are unable to disregard or neglect the ongoing murder in Palestine,” he told us.
“We consider the missiles directed at Israeli forces and security facilities were intended to convey an important message to Israel.” “We consider this strike was successful in hitting the territory,” he continued of Iran’s and Israel’s recent military activity.
“The commander of the highest forces has stated unequivocally that any attempt on Iranian interests and systems will elicit a strong response from Iran. We will retaliate hard,” he said.
Regarding Iran-India relations, Ambassador Elahi stated that India is a close friend of both Iran and Israel.
“But our friendship dates back 2,000 years, whereas India’s history with Israel is not as old. “India, as a major power and a voice of the (Global) South, can play an active role in de-escalating the situation,” Elahi stated.
Iran expects that “India will use its effect and capacities for de-escalation,” he said.
