Asif has also acknowledged Pakistan’s growing threat in the aftermath of the Pahalgam event, stating that India may attack Pakistan at any time. While maintaining that Pakistan is still on high alert, he emphasized the country’s nuclear capacity and stated that nuclear weapons would only be deployed if there was a direct threat to the country’s survival.
Khawaja Asif claimed
In a discussion, Asif claimed that a conflict between India and Pakistan could break out within the next two to three days. However, he later appeared to backtrack, stating that he did not foresee a conflict in three days but rather that the next three to four days would be critical.
