After the terrorist assault in New Orleans, in which an ISIS fan slammed a car into a crowd during New Year’s celebrations, President Joe Biden reassured Americans on Thursday (local time) that the US will continue to pursue ISIS and other terrorist organisations.
“We are going to relentlessly search for ISIS along with other terrorist organisations where they are and they are going to locate no safe harbour here,” Biden claimed.

Biden stated that 15 individuals, including the criminal, had died in the attack. He then assured everyone that no one else had been involved in the attack.
“The number of individuals murdered in New Orleans has increased to 15, including the assailant, with 35 injured. The FBI informed me today that we currently have no information indicating that anyone else was involved in the incident. They’ve determined that the assailant was the same individual who put bombs in two neighbouring ice coolers in the French Quarter just hours before ramming into the crowd with his vehicle,” Biden added.

Biden also stated that the assaulter, Shamsud Din Jabbar, whose vehicle contained an ISIS flag, has shown support for terrorist organisations in videos he has created.
“As I mentioned yesterday, the attacker released multiple videos just hours before the attack expressing his strong support for ISIS. Federal law enforcement and the intelligence community are currently investigating any foreign or local contacts and links that may have been important to the attack.”
Furthermore, when asked about the probable link between the New Orleans attack and the Las Vegas Cybertruck explosion, Biden stated that the investigation is still ongoing, but no evidence of such a link has been discovered thus far.
A Tesla Cybertruck exploded outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, killing one and wounding seven more. The vehicles involved in both crimes were booked from a car rental business called ‘Turo,’ prompting officials to investigate any connections between the two acts, CNN reported.
