Zelensky Ukrainian President stated Tuesday that Vladimir Putin was “afraid” of negotiating an end to the Ukraine war after the Russian president ruled out speaking directly with his Ukrainian counterpart.
“Today, Putin once again proved that he is afraid of conversations, afraid of powerful leaders, and does every detail possible to continue the war,” Zelensky wrote in a post on X.

Putin said discussions with Ukraine are conceivable, but not with Zelensky.
Putin further stated that if the West pulled all backing for Kyiv, the battle would finish in two months or less.
Despite Trump’s promise to implement a rapid ceasefire once in office, the situation shows no indications of de-escalation.
