Transgender People : US President-elect Donald Trump has contributed to the LGBTQIA+ community’s rising concerns, apparently considering an executive order to remove all transgender people from the US military.
The transgenders would be medically discharged, which implies they would be “unfit” to serve, officials said, according to The Sunday Times.
During his first term as US President, the 78-year-old leader issued a similar order, prohibiting transgender people from joining the armed forces but allowing those who were already serving. However, according to the article, all transgenders currently serving will be dismissed this time as well.

The executive order would apparently be issued on his first day back as President, January 20, next year.
According to reports, there are currently approximately 15,000 transgender individuals serving in the United States military. When President Joe Biden reversed Trump’s ban on transgender people in the military, around 2,200 service members were diagnosed with gender dysphoria, and some others identified as a different gender than they were born, according to the research.
Trump, who has frequently criticized the inclusion of transgender people in the community, has a clear vision: to cleanse America of supposed “wokeness” and “left-wing indoctrination.”
Since his first term, the US President-elect has stated that he will withdraw funding to “any school pushing critical race theory, transgender insanity, and other inappropriate racial, sexual, or political content on children”. He also wants to ban transgender athletes from participating in females’ sports and prohibit gender identification lessons in the classroom.

Earlier this month, Trump’s Vice President-elect JD Vance sparked a firestorm by making inflammatory remarks about transgender and nonbinary persons, implying that certain white youngsters are encouraged to “become” trans in order to gain entrance to Ivy League colleges.
