Ziddi Girls : Amazon Prime Video will soon surprise viewers with the launch of its newest original programming, Ziddi Girls. The trailer for the eight-part original series was published earlier in the day. Soon after, Alia Bhatt and Anil Kapoor rushed to social media to show their support for Atiya Tara Nayak, who would be making her series debut.

On February 17, Alia Bhatt posted the Ziddi Girls trailer on Instagram Stories. She acknowledged her excitement for Atiya Tara Nayak’s debut as soon as the teaser was out. She replied, “Can’t wait to see you shine, @atiyataranayak,” and added a blue love emoji. Meanwhile, veteran actor Anil Kapoor shared his excitement by posting the trailer to Instagram stories.

The Ziddi Girls clip was made available on all social media platforms earlier today, February 17. According to the trailer, the teen drama follows Matilda House College, a place where tradition rules but change is unavoidable. Things change when a brave new generation develops to challenge established standards and speak out for their beliefs. As aspiration and opposition clash, the institution becomes an ideological battleground, escalating tensions. Nonetheless, the series includes themes such as humour, true connections, and friendships.
The forthcoming series will be directed by Shonali Bose, Neha Veena Sharma, and Vasant Nath. Simran, Nandita Das, Nandish Singh Sandhu, Lillete Dubey, and Revathy play the key roles, while newcomers include Atiya Tara Nayak, Umang Bhadana, Zaina Ali, Deeya Damini, and Anupriya Caroli. The series, created by Pritish Nandy and distributed by Pritish Nandy Communications Ltd., will be available on Amazon Prime Video starting February 27, 2025.
Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt and Anil Kapoor will soon share the screen in Shiv Rawail’s film Alpha, which also has Sharvari in a significant role. The first female-led YRF Spy Universe film is scheduled to be released later this year, on Christmas Day, December 25, 2025.
