Sunita Ahuja : Sunita Ahuja, the wife of superstar Govinda, paid a visit to Criticare Hospital on Wednesday morning to check on her husband, who had been shot in the leg with a handgun.

Sunita addressed to the media about Govinda’s health, saying he is “more competent” and will be discharged in two days.
“He’s improved. We are sending him to the usual hospital today. He has improved significantly since yesterday. He’ll be let go the day after tomorrow. He recovered with everyone’s blessings…He has a large fan base, and people are offering prayers for him…”I would like to reassure the fans that he is fine,” she stated.

According to Mumbai Police, the event happened on Tuesday at 4:45 a.m., when Govinda accidentally fired his licensed revolver while putting it back in the cupboard. He was preparing to depart for Kolkata at the moment.
Shashi Sinha, Govinda’s manager, informed the phone: “Govinda had been getting prepared to leave for Kolkata and was placing his licenced pistol back in the cupboard when it fell from his fingers and the gun went off, wounding him in the leg. The doctor has extracted the bullet and the patient is satisfactory. He is still at the hospital.”

In an audio message hours after the tragedy, Govinda thanked the doctor who treated him as well as his supporters.
“Good day, this is Govinda. I’m getting better each day thanks to the kindness of my fans, parents, and God. A bullet struck me, and it has since been removed. Dear Dr. Agarwal Ji, I’d like to thank you. In the recorded communication, Govinda thanked everybody for their prayers in Hindi.
Soon after hearing about the event, filmmaker David Dhawan and veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha arrived at the hospital to inquire about Govinda’s condition.
