Mawra Hocane : Amid rumors of a Bollywood comeback, Mawra Hocane backs Fawad Khan, saying, “When My Colleagues

Mawra Hocane, a Pakistani actor, has spoken out on Fawad Khan’s controversial return to Bollywood. While Fawad is expected to make a comeback with the film Abir Gulal, his casting has prompted political resistance from some Indian parties.

In a recent interview with The Times of India, the “Sanam Teri Kasam” actress addressed the hostility of industry insiders and political parties against Pakistani artists participating in Bollywood.

Mawra Hocane interview with The Times of India

Mawra, noted for her role in Sanam Teri Kasam, offered her thoughts in an interview with The Times of India. When asked about the objections to Pakistani artists, she responded, “I don’t take it personally. This is how the world functions, correct? I firmly think that if something is meant to be, it will happen. I tune out the noise around my workspace. I enjoy doing what I do, therefore I don’t let these things bother me. It is clearly the producer’s headache, which is unfortunate, but it is their problem. If I spend my time worrying, ‘Oh, what’s going to happen,’ I’ll always be restless.”

“When my colleagues perform well, we definitely reach out to one another. We wished each other luck. I sincerely hope the best for everyone. I hope this film succeeds very well.”

She claimed she recently reached out to Fawad to wish him luck and said she sincerely supports her fellow actors doing well. “If it’s supposed to happen, it will. “I concentrate on my work and tune out the noise,” she explained. She noted that it is the producer’s problem, not hers.

Fawad Khan will return after a six-year

Fawad Khan will return to Indian screens after a six-year sabbatical with “Abir Gulal,” a love drama starring Vaani Kapoor. The film is set to premiere on May 9. The film is directed by Aarti S. Bagdi and stars Riddhi Dogra, Lisa Haydon, Soni Razdan, Farida Jalal, and Parmeet Sethi.

However, the political group Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has opposed to his casting, arguing that it violates a prior agreement regarding Pakistani artists participating in Indian cinema.
