Kriti Sanon looked gorgeous at the IIFA Utsavam 2024. The actor, who has been in several blockbuster films this year, including ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ and ‘Crew’, discussed the strain that social media puts on artistes.

Kriti stated that she has seen both times when social media was less relevant and when it was more popular. However, notwithstanding its advantages, there are some downsides.
While speaking to the press at the IIFA Utsavam 2024, she said, “I remember when we were artistes and there was not an internet or social media at the time.” I believe I am part of the generation that has gone through it, since I began before there was social media and then entered it, so I have seen both. I believe there is a lot of attention focused on everything, what you’re wearing, what you’re seeing, where you’re seen, where you’re spotted, and I also believe that people are constantly consuming data, which detracts from the excitement of seeing famous people and actors because you see them every now and then.”
She went on to say, “I mean, both have advantages and disadvantages. We can definitely communicate with our fans more easily. We usually make two films a year, but the rest of the time we can connect with them. So, I believe there are both positives and cons.”
The superstar is going to take on a new position as a filmmaker with her upcoming film, ‘Do Patti.’ She was open about it and stated, “‘Do Patti’ is my first baby as a producer. I’m very excited and nervous. I hope that what we’ve tried to do is well received and that there is something we’re trying to communicate with the film that touches people’s hearts, and this is only the beginning. When you refer to me as a producer, I consider myself a beginner, therefore this has been a learning experience. But creatively, it’s been rewarding, and as a businessperson, I’ve enjoyed it…”
New Global Indian Film Academy Awards held from September 27 to 29
The new Global Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) will be held in the Arab city from September 27 to 29.
The three-day festival began with IIFA Utsavam, a memorial to the southern film businesses of Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
