Hyderabad Police has denied that its officers misbehaved with actor Allu Arjun during his detention on Friday.
Akshansh Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Zone), made a statement denying that he misbehaved with the actor.
“When the cops showed up, he begged for time to change his clothing. When he went inside his bedroom, police officers waited outside, arresting him when he reappeared. The DCP indicated that no police officer used force or misbehaved with him.

The police officials explained that Allu Arjun provided many chances to speak with his family and wife before exiting and entering the police vehicle himself.

Allu Arjun was arrested
Allu Arjun was taken into custody on December 4 for involvement with a woman’s death following a stampede at Sandhya Theatre during the premiere of his film ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’.
The DCP stated that the theatre management did not meet with any police officers before submitting a letter to the police on December 2 asking police security, which was extensively circulated on social media following All Arjun’s arrest.
“We receive numerous requests for ‘bandobust’, citing visits by political figures, film superstars, religious programs, and so on. However, it is beyond our capacity to supply bandobust for every event. In this scenario, the organizer did not meet with any officers and instead filed the letter to the inner department. Despite the fact that no information was provided to the police, we organized a proper ‘bandobust’ for crowd control outside the theatre,” the statement adds.

According to the police source, the throng was under control until the actor came.
“He arrived at the theatre, exited from his vehicle’s sunroof, and began waving to the crowd. This gesture drew a large number of people to the theatre’s main gate. At the same moment, his private guards began shoving individuals to make room for his vehicle.
“His staff was urged to return him claiming that there was a significant gathering, but they did not, and Mr. Allu Arjun remained inside the movie for more than two hours. As a result, it is clear that an adequate police ‘bandobust’ was in place; it was his actions that culminated in this sad catastrophe, in which a woman died and her son remains unconscious on a ventilator nine days later,” the DCP noted.
