School Fees : Jharkhand’s private schools have received relief from the High Court. Private schools will no longer be required to pay annual fees to the state government for affiliation. The High Court ruled that the state government’s policies under the Right to Education Act, which impose annual fees for affiliation with private schools, are invalid. The bench of Chief Justice MS Ramachandra Rao and Justice Rajesh Shankar issued their decision in this matter on Friday.
The High Court upheld the state government’s order, which mandated 60 decimiles of land for schools in rural areas and 40 decimiles of land for urban schools. However, for the past six months, the court has loosened this regulation. Schools have six months to implement this requirement.
