UGC NET December 2024 registration starts : NTA has begun registering candidates for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test. Candidates who want to take the exam can register at the official UGC NET website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
The formal deadline for submitting the application form is December 10. The deadline for submitting the exam fee via Credit/Debit/Net Banking and UPI is December 11, 2024, at 11:50 p.m. The particulars in the online application form can be corrected between December 12 and 13, 2024. The exam is set for January 1 to 19, 2025.

- Now you have to register yourself.

- After successfully registering, candidates can complete the application form.
- Upload documents, pay a fee, and submit.
- Print a copy of the verification page for future reference.

What new adjustments have been implemented to the UGC NET in December 2024?
According to the official announcement, the UGC NET 2024 exam will be administered in 85 topics from January 1 to January 19, 2025. The UGC has included ‘Ayurveda Biology’ and ‘Hindu Studies’ as new disciplines beginning this year. Previously, this test covered 83 subjects. This decision was adopted at the UGC’s 581st meeting on June 25, 2024, in response to expert committee recommendations.
When the comprehensive notification is released, candidates will be able to check subject codes and other information on the official website.
UGC NET Exam Pattern for December 2024
NTA conducts the UGC NET exam twice a year to evaluate the eligibility of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Assistant Professor positions. The test consists of two papers: paper one and paper two. Paper 1 is universal to all candidates, whereas paper 2 is subject-specific. The exam lasts 3 hours.
