UGC NET 2024 City Intimation Slip: On December 24, the National Testing Agency (NTA) published the city notification slip for the UGC NET 2024 December sessions exam. Candidates are able to obtain their city intimation slip from the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in, by entering their application number and date of birth (DOB).
Candidates must verify all of the information on the slip and report any anomalies to the exam administrators. If applicants have any problems downloading or studying the test city intimation slip, they can call NTA at 011-40759000 or email [email protected].
Candidates should understand that this is not an examination admit card. The city notification card provides information about the exam city and center to assist candidates.

From January 3 to January 16, 2025, the UGC NET December 2024 exam for 85 courses will be held in a computer-based examination (CBT) format in various cities across India.
Steps to Downloading the UGC NET 2024 City Intimation Slip
- Step 1: Access the UGC NET website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
- Step 2: On the home page, choose the link that reads “UGC-NET December 2024: Click Here to Download City Intimation.”
- Step 3 will take you to a new page.
- Step 4: Enter your login information.
- Step 5: Your UGC NET test city intimation slip will display on screen.
- Step 6: Review and download the slip.
The UGC NET examination lasts three hours. The exam has 150 multiple-choice questions spread across two exams. Paper 1 includes 50 questions worth 100 points. It assesses broad skills such as alertness, reading comprehension, reasoning, research aptitude, and teaching ability. Paper 2 focuses on the candidate’s selected subject, with 100 questions totaling 200 points.
The UGC NET is held twice a year, in June and December, for applicants seeking to become Assistant Professors or obtain a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges.
