UGC NET December 2024 : NTA has added one day to the registration deadline for the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test December session. The registration period for the UGC NET December session 2024 will now end at 11.59 p.m. tonight, December 11th. In such a case, candidates who have been unable to apply for any reason may do so by visiting the official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in and completing the application form. The NTA sent out a notice with this information.
The official announcement stated: “The NTA was given various representations from applicants seeking to extend the time limit for submission of online application forms for UGC-NET December 2024.”
The fee date for UGC NET December 2024 has also been extended.
The National Testing Agency has also extended the deadline for submitting exam payments by one day. Candidates can now submit their application fees for the UGC NET December 2024 till December 12. Previously, the deadline for submitting applications was December 10, while the deadline for paying fees was December 11.

How much will the fee be?
The UGC NET 2024 December session test requires candidates in the general or unreserved category to pay a registration fee of Rs 1,150. Candidates in the General-EWS and OBC-NCL categories will pay Rs 600, while those in the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Person with Disability (PWD) categories would pay Rs 325.
The deadline for corrections has also been extended.
In addition to extending the time limit for registering, the NTA has changed the application correction schedule for the December 2024 UGC NET exam. According to the official notice, students will be able to modify their UGC NET December 2024 form on December 13-14.
The official announcement says: “Applicants can make corrections in the information submitted digitally in their forms through the modification window at https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in during the period the correction/editing portal is live.”
When will the UGC NET December 2024 exam take place?
The UGC NET December 2024 test is set to take places from January 1 to 19, 2025. The UGC NET 2024 exam for the December session will cover 85 disciplines and will evaluate applicants’ eligibility for Junior Research Fellowships (JRF), Assistant Professor appointments, and PhD admissions.
