Assam DEE Teacher Hiring : The Assam Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE) has launched the application process for the recruitment of 4,500 school teachers in lower and upper primary schools throughout the state. Interested and qualified candidates can apply on the organization’s website, dee.assam.gov.in. Application deadline is March 31.
There is a demand for 1,600 assistant teachers, science teachers, and Hindi instructors in upper primary schools, and 2,900 assistant teachers in lower elementary schools. Each area and category will have its own set of merit lists.
Requirements for Assam DEE Teacher Hiring in 2025
Candidates must have passed the Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) or the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), depending on whether they are applying for Lower Primary or Upper Primary teaching vacancies. Furthermore, one of the chosen languages (Language 1 or Language 2) on the CTET or ATET must correspond to the medium of instruction at the school to which they seek to enrol.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and no older than 40 on January 1. Candidates from reserved categories, on the other hand, will be granted age relaxations in accordance with the regulations.
Individuals with more than two living children born on or after January 1, 2021—whether from the same or different partners—are ineligible for recruitment.
The selection process is merit-based, taking into account candidates’ academic records in Higher Secondary (or comparable) examinations, graduation, a Diploma in Education, and performance on the Teacher Eligibility Test.
