Lucknow: Five members of a family were murdered in a Lucknow hotel. According to the preliminary inquiry, 24-year-old Arshad was detained for allegedly murdering his mother and four sisters at Hotel Sharanjeet in the Police Station Naka neighbourhood. Police said the man has admitted to his crime.
Lucknow Police investigation is underway
In this case, a thorough investigation is underway, with additional legal action planned. DCP Central Raveena Tyagi stated, “Five people’s remains were discovered today in a room at Hotel Sharan Jeet. Local police arrived to the scene and seized Arshad, a 24-year-old Agra resident. During the preliminary interrogation, he stated that he killed his four sisters and mother as a result of a family quarrel. Further interrogation is underway. “An additional investigation is underway.”

The bodies of Asma (mother), Rahmeen (18), Alshia (19), and two more minor sisters, ages 16 and 9, have been retrieved by authorities. Arshad, a resident of Islam Nagar, Tehri Bagiyar, Kuberpur, Agra District, Uttar Pradesh, was detained at the scene of the crime.
The bodies have all been sent for post-mortem investigations
According to Babloo Kumar, Joint CP, “…the bodies of five people—four girls and their mother—have been discovered. The hotel workers stated that they arrived on December 30 and were accompanied by their brother and father. The matter is being studied further.”
