3 Weddings, ₹1.25 Crore: How ‘Looting Bride’ Selected Wealthy Men

Over a decade after marrying several men and collecting ₹ 1.25 crore from them in the name of settlement, a lady who the police have referred to as a “looteri Dulhan” or looting bride was arrested.

Looting Bride married an Agra-based businessman in 2013

Seema, also known as Nikki, hails from Uttarakhand, who married an Agra-based businessman in 2013. She eventually sued the man’s family and compensated for ₹ 75 lakh.

In 2017, Seema married a software engineer from Gurugram and later received a settlement of ₹10 lakh from him after a divorce.

In 2023, she married a Jaipur-based businessman, but fled with ₹36 lakh in jewelry and cash. Jaipur Police detained Seema after her relatives submitted a complaint.

According to the police investigation, Seema hunted for her victims on marriage websites, usually settling for men who were divorced or had lost their wives. By marrying in several states, she got a total of ₹ 1.25 crore in compensation.
