UPI system : According to recent research, more than 50 crore people use the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) for peer-to-peer and peer-to-merchant transactions. The National Payments Corporation of India is constantly updating the platform to ensure the security and convenience of its consumers. The regulations have once again altered. On June 16, there will be several updates. As a result, the payment will be processed much faster than before.
On April 26, 2025, the NPCI issued a circular outlining the latest adjustments to UPI. In which it reported a reduction in response time for UPI services. This decision will benefit millions of Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, and Bhim UPI customers. Digital transactions will also improve. Many activities’ time will also be reduced.
UPI system : Instructions are also provided to banks and applications.
NPCI also directed all banks, UPI service providers, and participating businesses to modify their systems to handle the new faster response time. They were also advised to prepare to handle transactions more effectively. So that these adjustments don’t raise the likelihood of technical issues or failed transactions.

The response time for debit and credit payment requests has been reduced from 30 seconds to 15 seconds. Checking the status of the transaction will also take less time now, as the time for this service has been lowered from 30 to 10 seconds. The response time for transaction reversal (debit and credit) has also been lowered, from 30 seconds to 10. Verifying the UPI ID will now take 10 seconds instead of 15 seconds. Let us inform you that APCI has taken this step to improve its services. Aside from that, there will be many changes in August.According to the circular dated May 21, each user will now be given 50 attempts to check their balance.
