Banks will be closed for Public Holiday in June

  • Eid-ul-Azha (Bakrid) is on Friday, June 6; only in Kerala are banks closed.
  • Bakrid (Eid-ul-Azha) is on Saturday, June 7, and banks are closed throughout India.
  • Sunday, June 8, is a weekly holiday, therefore all banks are closed.
  • Sant Guru Kabir Jayanti/Saga Dawa is on Wednesday, June 11; banks are closed in Sikkim and Himachal Pradesh.
  • All banks were closed on Saturday, June 14, the second Saturday.
  • Sunday, June 15, is a weekly holiday, therefore all banks are closed.
  • Sunday, June 22, is a weekly holiday, therefore all banks are closed.
  • Rath Yatra / Kang (Rathjatra) – Banks closed in Odisha and Manipur on June 27th (Friday).
  • June 28 (Saturday) – Fourth Saturday – All banks closed.
  • 29 June (Sunday): Weekly holiday – All banks are closed.
  • Remna Ni – Mizoram banks are closed on Monday, June 30.

There are 68 optional holidays declared.

This year, the Madhya Pradesh government has placed 68 optional holidays on the official calendar of holidays for 2025. Every government employee will be granted three days of leave from among the 68 optional holidays; no more will be granted.
