KYC for Post Office Accounts: If you have a savings account at a post office, you must visit the post office every three years to complete your KYC. You must go there and present documents verifying your identity and residence. However, India Post will provide you with relief from this problem. You will no longer need to visit the post office for KYC. The entire process will be carried out online from the comfort of your own home.
India Post intends to do this in Karnataka. This will assist Karnataka’s 1 crore and 90 lakh postal account customers. According to Karnataka Chief Postmaster General Rajendra S Kumar, there will be no need to go to the post office with the original KYC related documents every three years under Reserve Bank standards. This will be accomplished through online Aadhaar authentication from your home.
