PAN Card 2.0 : The government has initiated the PAN 2.0 project. Under this system, you can exchange your existing PAN for a new PAN with a QR code. PAN cards with QR codes are more secure. According to PAN 2.0, Indian PAN card holders can request a reprint of their PAN card for a price of Rs 50. PAN card with QR code will be mailed to the taxpayer’s registered email and address. If you desire, you can also alter or update your information on this PAN card.
Rights granted to two agencies
The government has given two agencies permission to issue new PAN. These organizations are Proteus (formerly known as NSDL e-Governance) and UTI Infrastructure Technology and Services Limited. Examine the back of your PAN to determine which agency to contact for PAN card printing with QR code.
