US deportations Indians : A Usa plane carrying a 3rd batch of illegal Indian immigrants arrives in Amritsar.

US deportations Indians : A plane carrying 112 Indians deported from the USA for illegally residing in the nation landed in Amritsar on Sunday night, marking the third such visit in ten days as part of the Trump administration’s crackdown on such immigrants.

According to authorities, the US Air Force’s C-17 Globemaster aircraft landed at Amritsar International Airport about 10.03 p.m.

There are 31 deportees from Punjab, 44 from Haryana, 33 from Gujarat, two from Uttar Pradesh, and one each from Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Some of them arrived at the airport to be met by their families.

After all formalities, including as immigration, verification, and background checks, are completed, deportees will be allowed to return home. According to sources, arrangements have been made for the transportation of deportees to their destination.

Information of US deportations Indians

The first set of deportations took place on February 5, when a US military plane flew 104 Indians to Amritsar. A second plane, carrying 116 Indians, landed on Saturday.

During the initial round of deportation, the people were chained and detained during the trip, only to be released upon arrival in India, causing a political storm in India and an outcry in both Houses of Parliament during the then-current Budget session. Those who returned on Saturday raised comparable allegations of mistreatment.

Amid criticism, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar recently stated that the Centre is working with the US to ensure that deportees are not mistreated. He further stated that the deportation of illegal immigration in the United States is not a recent development but has been ongoing for many years.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was in the United States earlier this week, stated that India will repatriate any of its people who are living there illegally. He did, however, highlight the need of working to prevent human trafficking.

“Our biggest fight is against that entire ecosystem, and we are certain that President Trump will fully cooperate with India in finishing this ecosystem,” according to him.

In its defence, the US Embassy in India stated that “enforcing our country’s immigration laws is critical to the national security and safety for everyone of the United States.” “It is the regulation of the United States to effectively execute the immigration laws against all inadmissible and removable aliens,” an embassy official stated.

Following Mexico and El Salvador, India is the third largest source of undocumented immigrants in the United States.

The majority of Punjabi deportees had previously stated that they intended to relocate to the United States to provide a better life for their families. Their hopes were dashed when they were apprehended at the US border and returned in shackles.
