Thunderstorms and unexpected strong winds are also possible in eastern Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow, Barabanki, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Sitapur, Amethi, Ayodhya, Basti, Bahraich, and Shravasti. On Thursday, 13 individuals died as a result of rain and thunderstorms. 13 individuals passed away in accidents caused by storms and rain throughout the districts of the state.

Lightning struck and killed a woman in Amethi. Five people were killed in separate events in Ayodhya.
Rain alert : CM Yogi issued directions to officials for relief work.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed district officials to complete relief work as soon as possible due to the storm, rain, and hailstorm. He stated that officials should visit the area, perform an assessment, and monitor the relief efforts. If there is a loss of life or an animal as a result of a calamity such as lightning, storm, or rain, quickly provide relief funds to those impacted.The injured should be properly treated. The Chief Minister requested that officials conduct a survey to assess crop loss and deliver a report to the government so that appropriate action can be taken. He recommended that drainage preparations be established as soon as possible in the event of waterlogging.
