Prices for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders have been updated. The price of a 19 kilogram commercial LPG cylinder has gone down in accordance with the new rate. The cost of this cylinder from Delhi to Kolkata is currently about Rs 25 less. At the same time, the price of a home gas cylinder, namely a 14 kilogram LPG cylinder, has remained unchanged since April 8, 2025.

Indian Oil has announced a new rate for 19 kilogram LPG cylinders in Delhi, which would now cost Rs 1723.50. Previously, it was offered for Rs 1747.50. It is now Rs 24 cheaper than it was on June 1. Commercial cylinders will be available in Kolkata for Rs 1826, rather than Rs 1851.50, starting today.

The current charge for this cylinder in Mumbai is Rs 1674.50. Previously, in May, it was offered for Rs 1699.In Chennai, the commercial cylinder, which was previously priced at Rs 1906, is now available for Rs 1881.

Today’s rate for household LPG cylinders in metros

In Delhi, a 14 kilogram LPG cylinder is ready for purchase on April 8. The current price is Rs 853 as of June 1, 2025. Prices for LPG cylinders in Chennai are Rs 868.50, Mumbai is Rs 852.50, and Kolkata is Rs 879.

How are the prices of LPG cylinders decided?

Commercial cylinder prices fluctuate in response to global crude oil prices and demand-supply imbalances. In May 2025, a 19 kilogram cylinder in Delhi cost ₹ 1,747.50, making it ₹ 17 cheaper than in April. As of June, the price has dropped to ₹ 1723.50. The government controls domestic cylinder pricing, and they have remained consistent for a long period. In March 2024, a 14.2 kilogram cylinder in Delhi cost ₹ 803, but jumped by ₹ 50 to ₹ 853 in April.
