PM Modi : Today , Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the groundwork for numerous development projects totalling more than Rs 12,200 crore in Delhi. From Sahibabad RRTS Station to New Ashok Nagar RRTS Station, the Prime Minister also rode the Namo Bharat train.
PM Modi launched the 13-kilometer Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor between Sahibabad and New Ashok Nagar, which is estimated to cost Rs 4,600 crore. With this launch, Delhi will have its first Namo Bharat connection. This would greatly improve travel between Delhi and Meerut, benefiting millions of people through high-speed, comfortable, safe, and reliable transportation.

The fourth phase of the Delhi Metro was inaugurated
The Prime Minister also opened Delhi Metro Phase-IV’s 2.8-kilometer route between Janakpuri and Krishna Park, which cost approximately Rs 1,200 crore. This will be the first section of Delhi Metro Phase IV to be opened. West Delhi neighbourhoods such as Krishna Park, Vikaspuri, and Janakpuri, among others, will benefit.
PM Modi laid the groundwork for Delhi Metro Phase-IV’s 26.5-kilometer Rithala-Kundli line, which will cost approximately Rs 6,230 crore. This corridor would connect Rithala in Delhi to Nathupur (Kundli) in Haryana, considerably improving connectivity in the North-West regions of Delhi and Haryana.
Central Ayurvedic Research Institute
The Prime Minister also lay the groundwork for the Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI)’s new state-of-the-art facility in Rohini, New Delhi, which will cost roughly Rs 185 crore to develop. The facility will feature cutting-edge healthcare and medical facilities.

Metro network expansion throughout the last decade
In the recent decade, the number of states with metro services has increased from five to eleven, while the number of cities that benefit from metro connectivity has increased from five to twenty-three.

Daily passenger commutes have also grown exponentially, from 28 lakh in 2014 to more than one crore presently, or a 2.5-fold rise. Furthermore, the overall distance covered by metro trains has tripled, from 86,000 kilometres to an astonishing 2.75 lakh kilometres.
PM Modi officially opened the NaMo Bharat Corridor today
PM Narendra Modi launched the 13-kilometer-long Delhi segment of the NaMo Bharat Corridor between Sahibabad and New Ashok Nagar. The ceremony began at 11 a.m .
Passenger operations will begin at 5 p.m. on Sunday, with trains available to the public every 15 minutes. The ticket from New Ashok Nagar Station to Meerut South is Rs 150 for a regular coach and Rs 225 for a premium coach.
Six kilometres of the recently launched 13-kilometer segment are underground, including Anand Vihar, the corridor’s most prominent station. According to officials, this is the first time Namo Bharat trains will operate in an underground segment.
Namo Bharat trains served 50 lakh commuters
Namo Bharat trains have now served over 50 lakh commuters. Construction in other parts, including New Ashok Nagar-Sarai Kale Khan and Meerut South-Modipuram, is moving quickly, according to officials.
Anand Vihar’s underground station is one of the biggest on the Namo Bharat route. Commuters can travel 35 minutes from here to Meerut South.
Three bridges have been built over the Ghazipur drain to facilitate the circulation of vehicles and pedestrians at this station. Two of these bridges will be used for automobile entry and exit, while one will be reserved solely for people.
