LPG Price Cut: The country’s general budget (Union Budget 2025) will be presented today, and LPG cylinders have already become less expensive. Oil marketing companies reduced the price of 19 kilogramme commercial petrol cylinders on February 1, 2025. The price of this cylinder has been decreased by Rs 7, bringing the price of a commercial petrol cylinder in the capital Delhi down from Rs 1804 to Rs 1797 as of the budget day. However, the price of domestic petrol cylinders has remained unchanged.
LPG is cheaper between Delhi and Mumbai
According to Indian Oil’s website, the oil marketing business has announced new rates (LPG Cylinder New Price) for 19 kg commercial gas cylinders, which go into effect today, February 1, 2025. Speaking of the country’s four metropolises, Delhi’s LPG price has dropped to Rs 1797. In Kolkata, the price of an LPG cylinder has dropped from Rs 1911 to Rs 1907. In Mumbai, it will now cost Rs 1749.50 rather than Rs 1756, and in Chennai, the price has been reduced from Rs 1966 to Rs 1959.50.

This is the second decline in 2025 of LPG Price Cut
Previously, on January 1, 2025, the prices of LPG cylinders fell as well. Oil and gas marketing organisations cut the price of LPG cylinders from Delhi to Mumbai by Rs 14-16 to celebrate the New Year. In contrast, prices for 19 kg petrol cylinders rose dramatically in December of last year.
On December 1, the price of a 19 kilogramme LPG cylinder in the country’s capital Delhi increased to Rs 1818.50 from Rs 1802 in November. In Kolkata, it went from Rs 1911.50 to Rs 1927, in Mumbai from Rs 1754.50 to Rs 1771, and in Chennai from Rs 1964.50 to Rs 1980.
Domestic LPG petrol cylinder costs remain steady
Prices for 19 kg commercial gas cylinders have varied for a long period, whereas the price of 14 kg home LPG cylinders has remained constant. Its pricing remained steady on February 1 and are accessible at the August 1, 2024 rate. Its price remains unchanged at Rs 803 in Delhi, Rs 829 in Kolkata, Rs 802.50 in Mumbai, and Rs 818.50 in Chennai.
