DUSU Election Result 2024: The High Court of Delhi has ordered Delhi University to begin counting votes in the current DUSU elections on or before November 26. The bench, led by the Chief Justice, stipulated that this can only proceed if the University has evidence that the public and private properties defaced during the election campaign have been cleaned and repainted within a week.

Furthermore, the court ordered Delhi University and the students involved to submit a report to the High Court registry within 10 days indicating that the properties had been restored in accordance with the court’s orders. This ruling was reached after hearing a petition made by Prashant Manchanda, who expressed worry about property defacement during the election time.

What’s causing the DUSU Election Results A holdup?

The process of showing the DUSU Election Results 2024 is being delayed owing to DUSU candidates defacing public property. Originally, the results were set to be disclosed on September 28, but the high court postponed the count, citing the necessity to rebuild damaged property. The delay was intended to send a message that such transgressions would not be condoned, rather than to hinder the electoral process.
The Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) elections were held on September 27, and 1.45 lakh students took part.
