CGHS New Guidelines: The Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) has announced new guidelines. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has modified the online process for acquiring CPAP, BiPAP, and oxygen concentrator approval. The goal of this move is to decrease paperwork, expedite approval, and give greater convenience to recipients.
According to the Ministry of Health’s new instructions, it has been determined to totally replace the online procedure for obtaining clearance for such CGHS devices. The new approach requires CGHS beneficiaries to submit their applications digitally to the Wellness Centre. These applications should include all of the required papers.

Submit your application via this method.
According to Annexure-1, recipients must scan their whole registration package and email it to the office of the relevant Additional Director in their zone or city. If high-speed scanners are not accessible at the wellness centre, the documents will be mailed within one or two days. Along with this, additional directors have been directed to purchase high-speed scanners for all wellness centres in order to streamline the online process.

A computer file of the application will also be retained.

All applications will be processed through an electronic file system to track digital records and authorisation approvals. The e-file will include the beneficiary’s name and ID, as well as information about all respiratory equipment to be issued. For easier tracking, information such as the e-file number, beneficiary ID, and permission details will be stored in an Excel sheet.
If your application is approved, you will receive notification by email. You may also obtain a soft copy if you like. This is another milestone in the health sector’s digital process.
