Prices climb.
Following the announcement of the concert dates, hotels in the city raised their prices, with some booking rooms for up to ₹ 90,000 for a single night.
“On the 25th, rooms at ITC Narmada Ahmedabad will be offered at ₹90,000 per night.” A member of X commented, “If you succeed to get Coldplay tickets, you’ll need to spend six months of an average Indian middle-class salary just to stay in the city.”
One of the hotels noted that the cost of rooms reflected “dynamic pricing” during highly anticipated events that generate significant demand among travelers for hotels.
