The Maruti Suzuki Fronx Hybrid has been observed testing in Gurugram and is expected to feature a few technical and engine improvements. Maruti Suzuki now offers hybrid versions of the Grand Vitara and Invicto, and it intends to do the same with the Fronx. In addition, the brand is trying to bring the technology to in-house production, as Toyota provided technology assistance for the Grand Vitara and Invicto.
Design Changes for the Maruti Suzuki Fronx Hybrid
The Maruti Suzuki Fronx Hybrid, found testing in Gurugram, was not camouflaged, indicating that the Fronx has not undergone major design changes. However, the Fronx label, which was previously on the left side, has now moved to the right side, above the Hybrid label. All of the other features of the Fronx Hybrid 2025 are identical to the normal model.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Hybrid Engine, Powertrain
According to sources, the Fronx Hybrid will be equipped with the newly designed Z12 engine, which is already present in the 2017 Swift. Furthermore, the powerful hybrid version of Fronx will include a battery to support the petrol powertrain while operating with electric motors. The Maruti Suzuki Fronx’s powerful hybrid variant will differ significantly from the Grand Vitara and Invicto.
The current Maruti Suzuki Fronx is powered by a 1.2-liter engine that produces 89.73 horsepower and 113 Nm of torque. The Fronx achieves 21.79 kmpl with the 5-speed manual gearbox and 22.89 kmpl with the 5-speed automatic. The new Z12 engine will boost power and mileage efficiency since electric motors are more fuel-efficient. In addition, the robust hybrid setup’s regenerative braking can reduce fuel loss. As a result, the mileage will exceed 30 kmpl, with a projected delivery of 35 kmpl.
