Mahindra Scorpio X pickup is expected to launch in 2026

Mahindra Scorpio X : In order to compete with Isuzu and Toyota, Mahindra intends to introduce the Scorpio X pickup truck in 2026. It will have a 2.2-liter diesel engine, four-wheel drive, and a starting price of approximately Rs 25 lakh.

With the anticipated 2026 debut of the Scorpio X pickup truck, Mahindra plans to expand its product line. Mahindra intends to increase both its internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicle (EV) offerings in order to boost sales, but many manufacturers only concentrate on EVs and hybrids. Here is a brief summary of the existing knowledge regarding Mahindra’s next pickup vehicle.

The name “Scorpio X” is now a trademark in India after Mahindra filed a design patent application for a pickup truck based on the Scorpio N in November 2023. The model that will go by this name is unknown, however rumors suggest it might be the Mahindra Global Pik Up that is ready for production.

Mahindra Scorpio X Design

The front end and headlights of the Mahindra Scorpio X and Scorpio N will have identical designs. On the other hand, it has a new front bumper and LED DRLs. A snorkel close to the driver’s side A-pillar is also included. The final market version will be more subdued than the concept, even though the design patent represents this appearance.

Powertrain for the Mahindra Scorpio X

An upgraded mHawk 2.2-liter diesel engine from the Scorpio N will power the Mahindra Scorpio X pickup truck, with a maximum torque of 400 Nm and a peak output of 175 PS. The pickup truck will also have four-wheel drive (4WD) and a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission with the option.

The cost of the Mahindra Scorpio X

It hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, but the Mahindra Scorpio X might launch in India in 2026. The estimated starting price (ex-showroom) is Rs 25 lakh. It will compete with pickup trucks such as the Isuzu V-Cross and Toyota Hilux when it launches.

In addition to the trademark for Scorpio X, which was granted, Mahindra applied for many other names, such as Scorpio K, Scorpio L, Scorpio M, and Scorpio Z. However, authorization has not yet been granted to Scorpio K, Scorpio L, Scorpio M, and Scorpio Z.

Conclusion: Because it can effortlessly manage both off-road and urban requirements, this truck will revolutionize the market if it is introduced in 2026. Whether you’re driving an urban street, off the grid, or hauling products, Mahindra’s newest model seems to provide a versatile, state-of-the-art driving experience.
