Lotus Emeya and Emira launched in India, people are shocked to see the price.

Lotus Emeya : Lotus Cars, a British manufacturer, has strengthened its position in India by launching two new models. The Emeya is the brand’s first electric grand tourer, and the Emira is a mid-engined sports car. It should be noted that the EV starts at Rs 2.33 crore (ex-showroom), whilst the performance-oriented ICE car starts at Rs 3.22 crore. This coincides with the launch of the brand’s first showroom in New Delhi.

Lotus Emeya

The Lotus Emeya is one of the quickest electric grand tourers in the world. The EV has a distinct appearance that reflects the brand’s design philosophy. All of it is intended at increasing the vehicle’s performance while providing what the brand calls “the ultimate touring experience.” This design is available in six colour schemes: Boreal Grey, Fireglow Orange, Solar Yellow, Akoya White, Stellar Black, and Kaimu Grey.

To go into the specifications, the vehicle in the Indian market has a 102 kWh battery pack. The battery has a range of 610 kilometres on a single charge and can be charged from 10% to 80% in 14 minutes using a 400 kW DC charger. The vehicle’s electric motors are configured to produce 905 bhp . This power can be used to accelerate the EV from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 2.8 seconds, with a top speed of 256 kilometres per hour.

Lotus emira

The Lotus Emira continues the brand’s ‘Carved by Air’ philosophy and builds on the tradition of earlier models like as the Elise, Exige, and Evora. The car’s unusual style is matched by paint scheme possibilities such as Zinc Grey and Vivid Red. Owners can additionally modify the car with a variety of wheel finishes, audio upgrades, and exterior/interior model branding.

It comes in three versions: Emira Turbo, Emira Turbo SE, and Emira V6. It has two engine options. The Turbo and Turbo SE models are powered by an AMG 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine combined with an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Meanwhile, the V6 receives a 3.5-liter V6 engine that can be mated to either a six-speed manual or an automated gearbox. This unit produces over 405 bhp and 420 Nm of peak torque. Using this power, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in four seconds, with a top speed of 290 kmph.
