KIA Syros Bookings Open : Which Should You Choose Between KIA Syros and KIA Sonet? Anticipated Costs Unveiled

The KIA Syros is planned to premiere on February 1st, and registrations for the car have already begun. KIA positioned the car slightly above the KIA Sonet and below the Seltos. Should you wait for the Syros if you’re looking to buy a new Kia Sonet? or stick with your decision to acquire a Sonet? The vehicle’s prices have not yet been published. It is probable that the top model of the KIA Sonet and the midrange or higher end variant of the Syros will have comparable pricing.

Bookings and Delivery Information for the KIA Syros

The costs of Syros are yet to be released, however we can expect the car to start retailing for less than 10 lakh Rs. Even at a price of around 10 lakh rupees, the price difference between the two cars would be approximately 1 lakh rupees. You can secure the Syros for Rs 25,000, and car deliveries will begin in February. The car would be unveiled for the first time at the Bharat Mobility Expo in front of an audience.

Performance

The Syros would be offered in two engine versions. The petrol variant would feature a 1.0-litre turbocharged engine producing roughly 120 BHP and 172 NM of peak torque.

The car’s diesel option would be driven by a 1.5-liter powerplant capable of producing 116 horsepower and a peak torque rating of roughly 250 Newton-meters. Both engines would be paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, with the petrol type also offering a 7-speed DCT automatic option. The diesel model would include a six-speed torque converter unit.

Features

The features would include 17-inch alloy wheels, dual tone leatherette interiors, ambient lighting, and dual screen 12-13 inch screens for infotainment and instruments. The top model would include an 8-speaker audio system, front and back ventilated seats, wireless charging, powered driver chairs, a 360-degree camera, and ADAS level 2 technology.

Selecting Between The Sonet and the Syros

If you are looking to buy a new KIA, should you go with the Syros or the Sonet? Here are a few crucial factors to consider before selecting any of the following. If you want to go with the top variant of the Sonet, the GTX petrol Turbo Gtx with DCT gearbox priced at 17.05 lakhs, waiting for the Syros could be a viable alternative for you. As it would allow you to have a newer vehicle with fully fresh styling (the medium and top of the line variations are expected to be priced similarly to the Sonet top end variants).

However, if you have been looking for an entry-level Sonet, waiting for the Syros will not be fruitful. Because KIA intends to elevate the Syros above the Sonet, the Syros pricing would be slightly higher than the Sonet.

The expected price of the KIA Syros

Although the prices of the Syros have not yet been published, the following is an estimated price for the KIA Syros.

KIA Syros HTK(o)

This version of the vehicle would include an electric sunroof, 16-inch Diamond cut alloy wheels (only on diesel models), Roof Rails, Auto Folding Power Mirrors, and a Passenger Side Seat Back Pocket. HTX (O) would cost roughly Rs 10 lakh.

KIA Syros, HTK +

This would be the only variation in the lineup to be equipped with a 1.0 litre GDI turbocharged petrol engine. Other notable features include a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, blue and grey dual-tone leather, and 16-inch alloy wheels as standard.

The 1.0 litre Automatic version of the vehicle includes back seat reclining, electric parking brakes, follow me home lights, and Push Button Start. HTK+ would cost roughly 11 lakh rupees. The automated option might be priced about Rs 11.75 lakhs.

KIA Syros HTX

As we progress up the KIA variation hierarchy, new features such as a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob will become standard. Aside from that, you would receive LED headlamps and backlights. This trim level also includes ventilated seats, one-touch window operations, and paddle shifters for cars with automatic transmissions. The Syros HTX will cost roughly Rs 12 lakh for the manual, and Rs 12.75 lakh for the automatic.

Kia Syros HTX+ (automatic)

The HTX Plus model has 17-inch alloy wheels, puddle lamps, dual-tone upholstery, ambient lighting, a digital instrument cluster, climate control, a Harman Kardon sound system, an inbuilt air purifier, and a dash camera. Aside from that, this variant would include wireless charging, automatic IRVM, rear disc brakes, and rear ventilated seats. Diesel vehicles would have a 6-speed automatic gearbox, but petrol models would only get a 7-speed DCT in the HTX+ and HTX+(O) versions. HTX + is likely to cost roughly Rs 13.75 lakh.

Kia Syros HTX+O (Automatic)

This would be the most expensive option, and it would include all of the features accessible in the other variations. In addition to the previous model’s level 2-ADAS safety measures, this variant would include 360-degree cameras. Although the official price has not yet been released, the the model could cost around Rs 14.75 lakh or more.
