The India-spec Tiguan R will be driven by a 2.0 Litre Four Cylinder, Turbo driven engine that delivers approximately 204 HP and a peak torque number of roughly 320 nm. The car is 4WD, and the Indian version will employ a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. According to Auto automobile India, the automobile will be offered for purchasers in six color options: Oryx White Mother of Pearl Effect, Cipressino Green Metallic, Oyster Silver Metallic, Persimmon Red Metallic, Nightshade Blue Metallic, and Grenadilla Black Metallic.

The regular Volkswagen Tiguan was priced at RS 38.17 when it was last marketed in India, and the vehicle was brought in as a CKD, but this time around, the car would be brought in as a CBU and would most likely be priced around Rs 50 lakh.
