Suzuki Jimny : Suzuki Motor Corporation just launched the Jimny five-door model in Japan. The SUV has gotten an amazing response in the market, with unusually strong demand. The five-door version of the SUV, manufactured in India, is imported into Japan and was introduced by the brand on January 30 under the Jimny Nomade label. The brand is scheduled to begin deliveries on April 3 and has garnered 50,000 orders in only four days.
Due to restricted supplies based on imports, the off-road competent car currently has a lengthy waiting period in the Land of the Rising Sun. Because of the extended wait time, the firm has temporarily halted bookings for the SUV. As of currently, the brand has not provided any information about when bookings will be available. Furthermore, the OEM has cancelled promotional activities in Japan.

Suzuki Jimny five-door is priced in Japan
The Suzuki Jimny five-door is priced in Japan at 2,651,000 yen (Rs 14.88 lakh) for the 5-speed manual version. Meanwhile, the AT version costs 2,750,000 yen, which is equivalent to Rs 15.43 lakh. On the other hand, the vehicle is priced in India at Rs 12.74 lakh (ex-showroom), with a maximum price of Rs 14.79 lakh (ex-showroom). It competes with vehicles such as the Mahindra Thar Roxx and the Force Gurkha five-door.
The Maruti Suzuki Jimny in India is powered by a 1.5-litre K15B four-cylinder petrol engine. This engine is engineered to produce 103 hp and 134.2 Nm of maximum torque. It comes with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic gearbox. The manual variant achieves a fuel efficiency of 16.94 kmpl, while the automatic variant delivers 16.39 kmpl. The SUV features an AllGrip Pro 4×4 system to improve its off-road capabilities.
